Isn't it the responsibility of the lapping car to pass safely? Which is probably why Fassler has been found at fault.

It is, but if a car being lapped turns in then its hard to blame the passing car. Davidson flying at Mulsanne for example.

Fassler should have known better, the pro on am thing ...

Not worthy of a penalty or fine IMO.

I don't think you can have the going slow thing as there were a lot of other cars around. The #88 is slow, but at that point another Porsche had just gone past compromising his position. The Corvette took a risk in following it through.

Not sure I agree with a fine, but I don't only blame the #88 for that one.

At speed yes, but that AM car was well under pace and was passed by multiple cars. Only car with wipers on and well off the pace means you're now the response one to stay out of the way.

it is. they always find the faster car at fault. but I do disagree with that.

However:

Fassler should've shown more patience in that incident. There was more chance for it ending in an accident than not.
