First time in a long long time my Saturday evening has been functional engines instead of a guy tearing down blown motors on YouTube. Tonight's motor is the 1L 3 cylinder from my city Ford so that's fun. But that's tomorrow, I'll see if anyone can blow their motor here, although we don't really see blown engines in F1 or sportscars any more really

The rain sort of nullified that advantage, but it is very similar to a LMP2 car down the straights. Extremly fast accelerating because it has all the torque but very drag limited at the end of the straight.

Halfway through I'm very impressed with how clean the Ferrari run has been. Okay the 50 had the brake leak issue but no "mistakes" by the team, well executed strategy and good pace in just about all conditions. Exceeding my expectations for sure.

Can't believe it is only 12 hours in. So much has happened already!

the announcers keep talking about the cars who are a lap down and saying how hard it will be for them to get the lap back. I disagree.

the chasing cars aren't going to overtake to get back on lead lap, but odds of one of the cars in front of them having an issue have to be quite large given how things are going.
