If S103 will be an LMP1, then Dome should design it to be LMP1-2014 compatible. In such a case there's no rush

Big news.
Minoru Hayashi resigns from the president of Dome after Aug 31. Hiroshi Fushida serves as the new president. http://www.dome.co.jp/news/news/dt_119.html |

However, there is no financial problem in Dome. This is his life plan. Pure individual matter. He says that he starts a new road-going sports car plan in South east asia. From now on, Dome will become the average company. |

It's fair to say that's not the news anyone was hoping for.

Yes. Dome of Minoru Hayashi was the dream-inspiring childish (but interesting) company.
Dome of Hiroshi Fushida will become an average adult company. Although it is good news for Dome, for Dome fans, it is sad news. |

But maybe it could be the boost Dome is looking for, we all have to grow up at one point. The cars built by Dome over the years have been interesting and were definitely hits, but maybe a more "adult" head will make them much better than they are now.
Best wishes, Dome. |

I just hope it's not adult all the way to the point where no more LMP's will be produced. |

They'd do well to spend the next 12 months developing the S102.5 FM, Greatest Hits into a 2014 customer LMP1 car.

Just hoping that Dome can become successful under new management. And BTW, any pics on the updated S102.5 FM?

Little bit more from Mr Fushida here.
http://www.endurance-info.com/versio...nce-12916.html 2013 projects should be getting decided in the next two/three months. Unable to find a Judd replacement engine so no Fuji round. But a glimmer of hope for '13. |

Hayashi says that Hayashi and Fushida promised that Dome does not waste money to "the race activity as a hobby".

He's a stubborn man. But some of his views are correct. I think he's an idealist and he wanted his way to be known and was very proud of Japanese accomplishment. At least DOME is still here to stay and play. I do wonder what their next move is.

I think Dome will become a Lola of some sorts and hopefully fill some of the void left by the "demise" of Lola. |

Today, JRP (Organizer of Formula Nippon) announced that it chose DALLARA as next-gen FN chassis.
Minoru Hayashi tweets that the reason he resigned from the chairman of JMIA (and president of Dome) is that JRP chose the chassis of Dallara instead of JMIA. There is a rumour that the reason JRP did not choose JMIA chassis is that Hayashi complained to JRP. http://twitter.com/dome_hayashi/stat...43742149406720 |
