Yes, these are localities, but the first given sponsors in 1990 were Nissan to the first chicane and Carte S to the second.

Nissan had everything that year. Chicane named after them, on the tickets and program cover, got pole, first retirement.

On Friday 10 June 2022, on the eve of the 90th 24 Hours of Le Mans, there will be a brand-new event for fans and locals, when they will have the chance to explore the full track. Holders of a General Enclosure ticket will be able to enjoy an array of activities and visit the garages, while other key spots around the circuit (from Tertre Rouge to the Porsche Curves) will open free of charge to anyone using an eco-friendly form of transport, such as walking, cycling, a kick scooter or rollerskates.

That's pretty cool. I'd hoped to be fit enough to do a track run this year but might need to slide that into next year. I'd end up stranded on the Mulsanne and ruined for race day.

On the entry side, I'm hoping that map showing all the yellow gates means we'll be back to normal service.

My conscience has been bad for quite a while for not training up to do that run with you

As far as I can tell, it's only pedestrian access via Tertre Rouge that isn't going to be available. The Rouge car park is enormous, I'd be very surprised if they shut down access by that route.

So if you come in by tram you have to come in by the Arena?

That’s a little annoying. Come in at Tertre Rouge and you are right by the action. The “main” entrance by the Arena they just take your G&Ts off you.

The old pedestrian entrance at Tertre Rouge is closed this year, but you can get access from Guetteloup tram stop to Tertre Rouge car park entrance by following Avenue du Panorama.

There are few years, i had the occasion to attend at the road closing, during the night before test day.
It will be the same work tonight. At the moment, roads are still open for public trafic, but the works have already started. The official closing is for 3:30 am.
