I was hoping Helio could mix things up there at the finish. Then again, after those two close calls, he's probably feeling pretty good about getting fifth.

My goodness. What a week for Indycar.
I think I need to put an indy oval race on next years calendar. |

Hmmmm...I think you've got something there. We can start races over from scratch whenever they're not going our way. A novel idea. Sounds like where racing is heading anyway.

Sounds like another barn burner in Fort Worth, with lots of white knuckle action. Sorry I missed the finish but not the cringing at the television...

Two really exciting Indycar races in a row. The Texas race takes the cake for an exciting finish but I still liked the Pocono race a bit better. It's hard to completely enjoy the close racing when you're expecting a car to get launched up into the fence at any second. It's breathtaking when they get away with it but how many times can they get away with it? The past has shown not always.

To be fair though - it was wheel to wheel racing but it wasn't like the IRL races of old. No one was stuck to the track or boxed into a corner - for example Rahal.

Both Schmidt Peterson Motorsports and James Hinchcliffe have been penalised and SPM has been fined $20,000 after post race checks. |

I don't understand, if Hinchcliffe was running an illegal car then why wasn't he disqualified? I just assumed that he was after I heard the news so was a bit surprised to not hear it being referred to in the broadcast of Watkins Glen other than how he nearly won. Kinda glad that Rahal got the victory now!

IndyCar and Nascar don't exclude cars, which is rather unfair.
