In the jap version your last challenge was still the ring but in a sauber merc c9 in less than 6.40. That was rock hard and i think they must of had complaints Now on euro version and my first car is a 464hp lotus carlton some race wins and it'll be 690hp ish. Anyone found any cossies yet, its the only think missing from making the game perfect. Last edited by agnelli; 12 Mar 2005 at 13:39. |

hi there
you want to try that Toyota Triathlon (thing) around Nurburgring in arcade mode it puts you against a Jaguar (and as i used mine as a lawn mower most of the time i didn't beat it) but its very light with nervous twitchy handling and as it has only got 1 gear you don't get the gear reminder coming on the screen before the corner telling you how bad the corner is so with that car in in-car-camera mode you drive the track blind (much better) give it a go it's a laugh (and a good lawn mower) d-b |

i've got it all i've done so far is laps of the nordscleife, what a great track, just learning it is a challenge best lap time is 8.03.566 in an standard RX7
anyone else wish the game would 'remember' your best laps like the first gran turismo? |

I'm currently working on the National A licence, bought a Mitsubishu FTO with my credit wond a few races. This is my first GT game, so I take it thats the general idea of it ? LOL Win races - gain credits etc ? |

in a way it does remember total time and fastest laps. in the dairy in the garage, it shows the total time for a race and what place you finished. when practicing out side of a race or series, it remembers the fastest lap from that particular session. bit of a pita, but, its there ... in a way. |

Just got the game at 5mins before closing time from Woolies this evening - right at the last eh?
Tres cool. Pretty much what I was expecting so far. First car I bought was always going to be the MG TF - a car very close to my heart, being the one I sat my ARDS test in Shame there's no '88 Nissan Sunny Pulsar or '93 Volkswagen Passat (current cars), but at least the '88 Honda Accord and the Civics are in there. But where's the Renault Master I cry?!?! Currently 2.5% through, Nat A licence, with 9 cars, best being a '97 Nissan Skyline. Off to win the 90's Japanese series just now Last edited by crozier74; 13 Mar 2005 at 00:07. |

hehehe.....won the 1937 Auto Union Streamliner last night. One cool car IMO.
Currently letting B-Spec run down the Nurburgring 24 hours and I'll do the last portion of the race. I wonder what you win for it? |

Are enduro races real-time or accelerated time?

Real time. There are three 24 hour races, a nine hour race, a few four hours and a lot of 1000k races.
I also spotted a 1000km CHAMPIONSHIP in the Euro races section. And you can only use standard cars from before 1970. Eek. |

nope! but, you can switch back and forth between a-spec and b-spec in the pits. beware though, b-spec never uses wot on long straights like the last one on the ring. i was hitting 225mph while b-spec was hiting 205. it doesnt use no2 either apparently.

Also, do you have to finish a Championship in one go like in GT3? I'd like to be able to do other races whislt in a Championship.

BTW, what is your policy, as it were, with regards to tuning up real life race cars.
In previous GT games I always tuned all cars to the max. With GT4 however, I think I will leave all of the real life race cars in their standard, true to life tune, if only to get a more realistic impression of the relative speeds of each car. Also, after playing GT4 prolougue for many months I would highly recommend always keeping a standard version of each road car you have in your garage (with ROAD tires fiited), along with the tuned version. Before prolougue I never realised how much fun you could get out of time trialing standard road cars, fitted with road tires. Very challenging. |

hi there
generally all i do for tuning is medium racing tyres adjustable suspension so i can slam it as low as it will go professional gearbox as much POWER as possible nothing else (i never alter the brakes) any thing more would spoil the fun (massively over powered car with zero handling & zero brakes ie FUN) d-b Last edited by d-b; 13 Mar 2005 at 23:14. |

bleh, im not a fan of most road cars or cars without downforce. heh. the lmps, group c, and old gt1s (mclaren f1 and clk-gtr) lured me back to gt. not modding road cars. heh.
