Frankly, what did Bratislava achieved at their last Le Mans outing in 2017 ?
I'd hope that on the basis of their 2017 & 2018 results, United Autosport (5th and 7th) and Graff Racing (6th and 6th) deserve a spot each. |

What does that matter?
And they will get them. Not that it has much to do with those particular results Anyway if those 4 do take their automatics, there are only 14 unknows left (+ reserves). And of those Corvettes are known for sure so 12 really |

I can see the argument for "What do they bring?" when it's a team that isn't there often, or brings down the quality (Remember the T2M LMP2?), but Bratislava got an auto entry, so that's that.

Even if they hadn't had earned auto entry it was still a team which supplied both Onroak P2 and Ginetta P3 to "we're desperate for entries" ASLMS despite ACO leaving them at the bottom of reserves last year
Meanwhile there are teams running ACO-illegal GT3s that still receive entries for the race |

And they haven't been since the 2016-2017 season but at least you can make an argument for the prototypes being ACO cars and not just some random Ratel GT3s you can race in 5000 other series

I think the reason they give GT3 teams a spot is to try and convert them to GTE. If you buy/rent a GTE car and everything required to run at Le Mans, then the ACO is hoping you'll stick with it afterwards and move to ELMS and WEC.
With LMP3, they aren't as bothered because there are plenty of LMP2 teams so the numbers don't need raised. And of course the LMP3 team is already part of the ACO ecosystem. I think it's just a way of trying to convert a few GT3 teams to GTE really. |

Saw this morning that Billy Johnson and Jonathan Bomarito are the third Ford GT drivers for the Sebring WEC race. Might give an indication about Le Mans. Or if they don't get that fourth car they might fold those drivers into the other three.

With tomorrow's final 18+10 entries to be announced, I recommend listening to most recent episode of MP Podcast, with speculation for the leftover spots:
https://marshallpruett.podbean.com Entries I had forgotten from my list: - DKR Engineering P2 - Cetilar Villorba Corse P2 - (Maybe) 3rd Dragonspeed - (Maybe) 2nd Project 1 AM - Spirit of Race / AF Corse 2nd AM (instead of P2) By the way the MSR female joint-up will be with 2nd Algarve Pro entry, so that looks pretty much given Last edited by Deleted; 28 Feb 2019 at 12:14. |

Yes looks like they've been "told" they get all four in... but given how ACO's handled the communications recently, how much of that is really true
Speaking of lack of communications, I have no idea when the list's gonna be released today again. It's bit frustrating. The times of singular press conference with strict timing to give us all we needed are behind us next year as well with ASLMS going way too late again ugh |

It's already out, ACO communications at best
08x LMP1 17x LMP2 (10x Oreca / 5x Onroak / 2x Dallara) 17x LMGTE-PRO 18x LMGTE-AM Reserves: 7x LMP2 + 3x GTE-AM https://assets.lemans.org/explorer/p...-mans-2019.pdf Pretty awful with too much GTE (35 against 25 dear god) and horrible reserve draw No Ginetta even in reserves All PRO cars receive full entries, even Risi despite doing nothing in the world except Daytona Shank-Algarve at the bottom of reserves (female Kessel is instead awarded) High Class rejected yet again despite 3 years in LMP2 ELMS LMP2 altogether gets laughed at "For LMP2, the first decision was to field as many different teams as possible before considering any second cars. We wanted to reward teams that have been loyal to the race. All selection processes entail rejections." Lol It's bit of a joke Last edited by Deleted; 1 Mar 2019 at 13:27. |

Absolutely fundamentally 100% disagree with Chiana. I have never been so against a posting on this board as this one. Are you freaking kidding me!!! This is awesome! GTE Pro rocks. GT racing rocks!!! We'll get the showdown this year that we teased in 2018 when we saw the best racing between the GT cars in the first 3 hours ever seen before the safety car ruined it. We won't get that this time. |

I see no logic for a 25/35 split other than sucking up to manufacterers whose support ACO are trying to get for the new regs.
11 Ferraris and 10 Porsches = too many. Some of the reserve LMP2 teams must be furious and rightly so. As has been pointed out here, ACO could do with befriending LMP2 teams rather than alienating them, given the uncertainty over 2021 onwards. |

No Ginetta is a disgrace (assuming Ginetta had a programme to enter the car/s).
United Autosports with one car is also a disgrace, as is the order of the reserve list. 4 works Fords and 4 works Porsches also too many IMO, would have preferred the United Autosports car in there rather than another Ford. Especially seeing as though Ford will be gone after this race. Also Risi – what?!Are they even doing full-season IMSA? |

No problem with the allocation. GT cars are the heart and soul of sportscar racing. Either they make the bulk of the grid of just take them out entirely and run protos only at Le Mans. Which I am ok with actually as well. GTE Pro is the best racing on the planet today.
I'll make another comment that will trigger you guys: I hope everybody uses their traditional factory liveries this year. 4 White/Red/Black Porsches and 4 Maroon/Dark Blue Fords. |

“Effectively the only message to an LMP2 team here is that unless you qualify by right via the WEC there is no way you were going to get more than one car at Le Mans this year."
http://www.dailysportscar.com/2019/0...ans-entry.html I guess next season everyone in P2 ditches ELMS in attempt to gather bigger cash bribe to get into WEC and to receive auto entry for Le Mans. Ford and BMW pulling out will free 4 slots from the artificial 35-36 WEC grid limit but obviously that's not going to be enough Last edited by Deleted; 1 Mar 2019 at 16:30. |
