Oulton, Knockhill etc. all have British GT rounds.
The problem duke is referring to is not that the BTCC wouldn't be able to race but rather the maximum number of starters at some circuits would be reduced. Don't have the exact figures to hand but from memory Knockhill's grid is limited to something like 28 cars up to 2.0L, over 2.0L would be less. As things stand at the minute it may not be a huge problem as there aren't many places where the number of BTCC entries is close to the maximum permitted.

I think there is a solution. And you might find out is has been used for a long time already. It's called qualifiing...

Max number of starters is based on circuit width/length (amongst other things) so 'upgrading' effectively means digging up and starting again. Not really a practical solution.
