Circuits are not designed to allow this, from the security point of view.

Race 2 will feature a totally reversed grid, with points on offer to the person or people who make up the most places.

It's very interesting to read about the development of the Superleague Formula and that could arise to a possible debut in Donington. A new format, proved in Argentina with the Top Race V6 touring car series with some success, with the franchise of the most important local clubs of several teams. Also intended in World Series by Nissan in year 2002, remember Ricardo Zonta winning that championship with the colours of Barcelona (or "Barsa", as you prefer).
Shame that the Superleague is not paying enough attention by Boca Juniors, Argentinian club managed by Mauricio Macri (now he had to step because is our current Major of Buenos Aires government), whose family run automobile industries in my country. Premier1 series failed in 1999 before its start, now we have to see what happens with Superleague, and the interest of the public on all this. Last edited by Mekola; 2 May 2008 at 12:24. |

I would place a bet that Alex Margaritis will be announced as an Olympiacos driver. By the way GU racing will be running this car.

So potentially, could Senna's outright lap record fall at the Donington event?

I wouldn't be expecting the outright record to fall at Donington. I timed the car at 1.01 on the National circuit during it's shakedown back in March(?) I'd expect them to be a good 5-7 seconds off the old lap record pace of the GP circuit.

Nice little ad in Autosport: "Superleague drivers wanted".
They must come with a suitable licence and budget. |

Shame. I though that football clubs funded the cars with their own sponsors.
Lost opportunity for drivers who are talented and have no funds to be in formula racing... |

i thought team would pay to driver. there is plenty of pay per race championships outthere and i cant see a good driver paying loads to drive in unrated series

Seems like a few drivers might get paid, but many drivers will have to pay (between 500 000 and 1 million euro I reckon) and i dont see how any good driver would want to do that....
The only way for the series is to attract drivers and pay them...like A1GP did... Because at the moment I think there will quite some unexperienced drivers with money... |

I see tickets have gone on sale -
general access adult: 30 EURO/24 EURO advance general access adult + paddock access: 45 EURO/39 EURO advance Charging extra to access the paddock puts serious doubts on whether I'll go, even if they manage to get a sub-A1GP quality grid scraped together... take note Superleague! They should learn from Renault with their WSbR meetings, if they're aiming to be a fan-oriented concept. |
