No problem Andy these things happen.
I tried every gear befor i finally decieded that i was not getting back out of that gravel trap and was just digging a myself in deaper. Then the rear towing eye was not quite up to the job, and has changed the shape of the rear bumper on the way out, just to rub salt on the wound Anyway, just got back from the pub, and after a long descusssion of the days events, have decieded that jon getting a pic of the secret singnal was well worth a trip in gravel. Must of earnt me at least a few pints tonight. And well done to richard who is our well deserved winner and has been a massive help to me this year. Without him i wouldn't of finished three mettings this year. "to richard & phil for there big red van full of 205 parts" Great pics again jon always you must let me have the pic of the "ss" that made my day Thanks to all for a great day |

Using oone of Richard's phrases "Fair play, well done mate". You certainly have been a stalwart of the championship and richly deserve your success.

Thanks to all the marshalls and organizers for yesterday event in weather as i remeber it from the 1970's
Congratulations to Richard Brent a worthy winner with a smile. purple racing team look forward to buying you a drink at the Dinner Dance. Without a doubt after seeing Gerald engine expire in practise then KJW trouble in the first race It was a pleaseure to see KJW start at the back moving through the field lap by lap and then take the class win despite a deliberate blocking movement. a very worthy 2nd overall. A special thanks goes to Big Dave for spoofing me into competeing and looking after purple racing from pouring the guiness to packing up. Tristam sorry about your woes i was looking forward with some door handleing. |

one other question can some one explain why in the first race i took part in the pace / saftey car went of down the pit lane and in the second pulled off at the bottom of paddock. Did i miss a breifing ?

Probably because of the debacle in the Intermarque series Rob. They started accelerating as soon as the pace car pulled off. Pole man all over the gravel at Paddock and a Mini spinning aswell.

Richard, and family, well done, well deserved and brillient for the championship, a clubman car and driver winning from class D .. what better advert for people to come out racing could we have?
Rod, know how you feel, sump plug last year.... Even though the championship win has gone, nothing can take away from you the wins and performances you have put in this year. Well done to you, your team, and the other organisers of this brillient championship. |

I'll add my congratulations to Richard too - a worthy champion and a thoroughly nice chap too
Well done gary as well for bagging a first win in the second tin tops race - he fairly streaked away at the front there - almost Birleyesque! Once the intermarques had actually got underway I thought they provided some good entertainment, plenty of scraps going on throughout. The second A,B,C DMN race came alive when Rod retired (no offence Rod! ) - everyone seemed to realise that an outright win was on the cards and step up a level. I felt sorry for Andy Wickens who was flying until the tyres went off, good result for Andy Thompson though. The D and E races were a bit more subdued than usual at the front with the Bill and Richard actually managing to not race each other for once and just take the points (is that the first time that's happended? ). Top entertainment as ever despite the ridiculous weather - I'm hoping brands will be a bit warmer (fat chance ) |

I just want to say a BIG thank you for all the support i have had this year. To be so close to the title in '05 and'06 it makes it even more special to finally put one to bed. I have a fantastic team behind me, Eric and Phil have been with me every step off the way since we started the adventure back in 2003..
well done Alex Ribbens a great first race / fastest lap as well / fair play ! |

Really good pics there as always Jon, spot on timing! Didn't make it in the end, studying took precedence, and unlikely to be at the truck meeting Congratulations to Richard Brent as the new champion!
