Excel is a wonderful thing... Everything is all automated now, all I have to do is enter your time and it takes care of the rest!

Chatters, I will be submitting my times for each round either on every Saturday evening or Sunday morning. I don't have enough time to do the races during the week so I need to leave it closer to the deadline ;-)
It's the blind, uphill corners that I don't like...I keep finding faster lines through them but I always misjudge my braking point and turn-in speed. |

I have absolutely squeezed everything out of my Nissan. Every time I try to go faster I make mistakes. I'm done for the weekend.

Relatively happy with my time.
Doing 15 mistake-free laps around there at full tilt is nigh on impossible. If you don't run wide anywhere the backmarkers will get you! Made two mistakes in my submitted time, both at the first right hander - which ticked me off because I am usually very good there. |

I did one more race last night and will submit that time. I hate the track so I'm not going to bother making another attempt, and I'm happy with this one anyway.

GTRL: Round 2 Results
Come over the hill, getting some air... Oh, ****! Wall! Well folks, round two has been run and won. The challenging Sears Point has given all the drivers a good shaking, and some have fared worse than others. Stepping out of all the confusion to take the crown for Round 2 of the championship is Mystery, driving the Nissan MOTUL PITWORK Z. Narrowly missing out on the top spot was Chatters, driving superbly () to 2nd place. Rounding out the podium was mac. TIMES FOR ROUND 2 Mystery - 16:44.206Chatters - 16:45.847 mac - 16:52.830 4. trevisio - 16:52.924 5. rblanshard - 17:39.008 6. Fte_by_Ford - 17:54.587 7. BertMk2 - 18:02.150 8. safc_fan89 - 21:41.654 9. nickyf1 - 22:00.000 (Default Time) 9. racer69 - 22:00.000 (Default Time) POINTS CHAMPIONSHIP STANDINGS AFTER ROUND 2 1. Mystery: 18 2. trevisio: 15 (-3) 3. Chatters: 12 (-6) 4. mac: 11 (-7) 5. safc_fan89: 7 (-11) 6. BertMk2: 4 (-14) 6. rblanshard: 4 (-14) 8. Fte_by_Ford: 3 (-15) 8. racer69: 3 (-15) 10. nickyf1: 1 (-17) So the points championship is already looking to be a four horse race between Mystery, trevisio, Chatters and mac. But there is still plenty of time for anyone else to show their true colours... 2 rounds gone, let's have a look at the Time Stoppers Championship, where the winner has the lowest total time after all the rounds put together: TIME STOPPERS CHAMPIONSHIP STANDINGS AFTER ROUND 2 1. trevisio: 36:11.778 2. Mystery: 36:16.545 3. Chatters: 37:06.363 4. mac: 37:11.390 5. BertMk2: 39:57.820 6. Fte_by_Ford: 40:29.307 7. safc_fan89: 41:57.528 8. racer69: 42:32.640 9. nickyf1: 44:29.376 10. rblanshard: 44:46.531 So as you can see, some serious work is needed by nickyf1 and rblanshard to stay alive in this championship. Both are over 8 minutes behind the leader, trevisio. WINNERS AND LOSERS The big winner in round 2 was Fte_by_Ford, who gained 3 spots in the Time Stoppers championship to end 6th. The big loser of this round was safc_fan89, dropping 2 and 4 in both the points and time stoppers championships. Point and laugh everyone . Here's hoping for a better round next time eh? That concludes round 2 of the championship! For round 3, we will go racing around one of the legendary Gran Turismo tracks (or at least the short version): Grand Valley East. ROUND 3: Grand Valley East, 20 laps. Have fun! Last edited by Chatters; 13 Nov 2006 at 06:19. |

I'm very pleasantly suprised by the win in the Sears Point round. I knew I had a good time but the perfectionist in me wasn't happy anyway. My optimum 15-lap time was somewhere in the low 16:20s so I was expecting I would have needed a high 16:30 to win the round, but I'll happily take the win with the time I got.
Looking forward to a bit of classic GT action over the old Grand Valley East course. Not one I've driven in a very very long time but having spent so many laps around there in the past I'm sure it will come back to me before very long. Good luck all |

Well that takes the ****. I didn't read the 'stock car' bit I will do a race on that track rather than the sports car track and see how I would have done! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

My best lap in my best race was 1:04.132 on lap 2. All of those laps were in the 04s and 05s apart from lap 1, the two laps either side of my tyre stop and lap 13 where i lost 2 seconds in the first sector. I had a faster lap in my third run on this track - 1:03.982 - the only time i dipped into the 03s all week. Just been out for my first run at Grand Valley East and early tests are encouraging. That run was in the Pitwork Z again but will once again test the Supra since I suspect its extra power might come in handy around here. |
