I have just been on the phone to my brother in the states. He informed me that Jim Mathews (Orbit DP) will be driving a JMB ferrari.

I stayed at Beau Sejour last year. I didn't get the impression it was more "lively" than the other campings. Lot's of people with loud cars were making noise but they do that anywhere, right? We had plenty of space, the toilets were clean and the showers were hot, a lot better than I expected.

Weather forecasts :
- showers on wednesday (but the eve should be dry : will the track have enough time to dry for reasonnable performances ?) - same on friday morning, but the track will have the whole day to dry : the best session could be tomorrow... - race : heatwave confirmed (32°C in the evening, more than 20°C at pitch black !) |

20°C during the night eh? That suits me just fine As everyone knows, that's my favourite bit of the race, but come 4-5 am it can get quite chilly, particularly if you're perched up top in the stand or the Welcome building.....

I'm not complaining, but since I have been going (1999-) with the exception of 2001, every year Le Mans seems to have combined with a heatwave. I'm pretty sure the last few years, the weekend has been considerably hotter than the days before and after. It does make for a long hot wait in the tribunes on Saturday afternoon. Best double check I have the factor 25 packed. So obviously I will need to keep my fluid content up as well...

Yep, I remember those hours waiting there on the tribunes with the sun beating down on your head/neck. Be sensible everyone, its far too early in the weekend to get sunstroke. Wear a hat - preferably one which gives protection to your neck as well.

I have several Le Mans polo shirts which are great as the collar can be turned up for neck protection. I generally watch the start from the bank just before the Dunlop bridge, one advantage is that if there is a breeze you will get it there - also not quite as crammed as the main grandstand tribunes. I'll raise a glass to you when I get there Ayse and hopefully see you sometime over the weekend. You've got my mobile no. in case you miss the meetings in the Village.

Hi there, am very exicted to go to this years Le Mans, and the weather is hopefully going to be a fantastic as last year - one thing is sad though - As a mad Dane, where is Team Lister Storm, have tried to find some news on why they haven't been accepted entry this year - Anyone know ?

Great news Paulzinho, I know how frustrating it has been for you the last few years. Hope to see you at one of the ten tenths meetings over the weekend.
