Looks much nicer and at least gives a distinctive look compared to the Oreca 05. |

Will have to see how it looks in motion, and when we other angles to it, but yes yet another good aesthetic improvement.

Now everyone has LED headlights in LMP1 outside of Porsche's current sprint kit, which I think is a mix of LEDs and Xenon projector lamps.

Well that does look good from the front, but then again i have always had a soft spot for the rebellions, lets hope it goes as well as it looks

Have to agree always thought they'd should win spirit of the race on RLM at the end as they always seem to plug away it's a shame there is no real fight in that category but hopefully Manor may come up with something interesting years to come

So um, WTF happened to the team in Q, timing shows 4+4 laps for the cars and apparently only one of them even scored (irrelevant) average time of any kind?

such a shame that rebellion and oreca spent winter to update their headlights and not to improve overall reliability...

Didn't know that changing the headlights would make a car so unreliable
Ironically they even reverted back to the older AER hoping to improve reliability/ |

you didn't understand my post...
last year, rebellion struggled with engine and reliability issues all the season long! most of the races, rebellion cars finished behind lmp2 cars because, even if both r-one were faster, during the races they were forced to do a lot of extra stops to check and fix some issues here and there. Considering that apparently kolles car didn't show any reliability problem so far, I just was asking my self if rebellion focused on only new headlights during the winter... BTW as far I know, the AER engine had a 2015 evolution, that was the engine used by rebellion last year, while kolles was using the old 2014 version. Don't know this year if kolles updated to 2015 too (or maybe 2016 specs, if exist). |

That comment was just sarcastic.
You are right though. They need to improve reliabilty because that's one area they have really fallen off |

I said it in September or October already, that the number one thing they should done over the winter (or even now, next week) is rent Paul Ricard or something and do a 30 hour endurance test with both cars. And if that's too pricey or something, just run one car in WEC full season like 2013, you only need two for Le Mans. There's no reason to waste money for else when there's nothing really to be achieved atm, except glory by chance. Allocate the little resources you do bring for reliability. Until they get more privateer competition by 2017/18/19??, the only goal is the chance to place high in the overall order, and this is done by luck and reliability, not performance (breaks) or sitting around when the gap to the factories is unreachable.
The team must feel miserable right now considering none of their web sources have put out anything about the quali, not the official site not FB not twitter not any of the drivers and not any other medias. Here is Kraihaimer interview earlier this week, with nice but nervous 1st time interviewer lady https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZIubhG6_2Q Last edited by Deleted; 16 Apr 2016 at 19:08. |

well... need to say that the lack of competitors, surely doesn't push you hard to achieve the best performance and reliability. Maybe, because the huge fuel flow given to lmp1-L (over 100km/h if am I not wrong), the AER engine revs higher than expected and sometimes gives some trouble.
Anyway, if I was rebellion owner, more than a full 2 cars program in WEC, I'd like to run with 2 oreca 05 full season in TUSC... real* competition in P class and TV coverage for the rebellion TD in US. *real is an euphemism speaking about TUSC P class and his bop madness |

It would appear that this is related to the race weekend practice days, as they never seem to say in the media when they were testing anywhere? |

Probably lack of funding? Surely they don't have the budget of the big teams look at the ByKolles it was at the back of ghe LMP2 where is the incentive for the Rebellions to test? They almost certainly pick up the 1-2 in LMP P every race and walk away with the championship each season! They are on twitter right now gloating about winning their class?
Need to be a fast more incentive and a proper supplier to these teams to encourage more teams to enter this category Sent from my STV100-4 using Tapatalk |

They finished with 2 cars ahead of a Toyota, Audi and Porsche. Not to mention Kolles.
