They dropped the 8 without the wheel all the way on. Happened to Audi at Le Mans in 2007, and what happened ... the wheel came off during that stint!
Anyhow, looks like Oreca made a good strategy! |

He's got about 20 seconds to make up in 30 mins with fresh rubber.

I think many will agree with me, this has been one f****ing brilliant race so far, I have been absolutely hooked from the start and the great on track battles are turning into battles of attrition. I would Highcroft to win but it's not going to happen and if Montagny carries on screaming around at his current place he is certainly going to mug Pagenaud of second.

Glad the T&S is in-synch with the stream. I'm glued to it.
Interesting to see Montagny baulked by the Audi. Hindy just beat me to it, they haven't forgotten Zhuhai. |

Great final run by Sean Edwards in the 030 GTC, got in with 2 hours 45 or there abouts left of the race and has got from 5th to 3rd and set fastest lap.

As much as I wanted Highcroft to pull something off, the more I see these shots of de Chaunac the more I want them to hold on. He is really feeling it.

Better than 3 hours without a caution. That is what has made the end of this race so good.

Great news nightstalker, at least a podium is on the cards for Sean and the NGT folks, Mcnish has just upped the pace as well, I bet Audi will want to forget this race week though. It hasn't exactly gone as they planned.

He looked relaxed before, not any more! As much as I want Highcroft to win (mainly for Brabs) but an Oreca win would be quite nice also, nice to see both the factories get beaten.

Regardless of what happens to Highcroft, you have to hope someone, ANYONE, will throw them a bone and get behind them for a full season. The car is a week old it clearly has race-winning potential in the ALMS.

Montagny took 10 seconds out of #8 in 15 mins. 15 mins left with 10 seconds more to make up. This should be exciting!

Montagny is going to get Pagenaud at this rate, I doubt Pagenaud has the fuel to push and hold off a charging Montagny and make it to the end.

Interesting to hear the guys reflecting a bit ago on how little Panis has contributed to this probable race win.
