undecided at this stage. Will wait to see we see a few driver combinations very light on in that area at this stage

although maybe i can save 24 hours driving and watch it on tv

You've got near to 60 high quality entries , and you're worried about driver combos ?

Lets face it, maybe six v8supercar drivers would have competed - so that's potentially six local hot shots or six overseas drivers entering in their place.

EPIC RACE - get there.

might wait to we see how many end up in pro am before we start ranking their quality

There'll be more "pro" drivers than at the October race. And you know it

How do i know this? Hardly any drivers have been named yet and those that have been named are not "pro" drivers

However I am sure there will be lots of excellent drivers I am just waiting until we know who they are before i decide if i am going

was let down by too many cars dropping out at last minute in the 2014 race

and statistically it is unlikely there will be more pro drivers in the 12 hour than the v8 race. Thats the way the 12 hour is formed as a pro am

When Paul Morris wins the Bathurst 1000, arguing about "pro" drivers seems rather silly

Personally I am more than happy with the few announcements we have had. Mika Salo and David Brabham? Yes thanks! I'm sure there will be plenty of top GT international sports car drivers and I suspect some part time/ex V8 drivers. I thought Greg Murphy would be a certainty if there was a Corvette or Camaro entry available.

Agree with you on Baumgartner, but lots of talent around him to be at the pointy end. The other car has a world class line-up and certainly one of the favorites. Rast, Vanthoor & Winkelhock will be better for the run this year.

From Speedcafe: "Audi are planning to resurrect a livery similar to the crocodile scheme used by the Audi R8 prototype which won the Race of Thousand Years at Adelaide in 2000."

Looking forward to the crocodile!!! The camera is going to get a real workout in Feb

Some European series have been guilty of having grids of very dull liveries recently. Aussies know how to paint a car - these machines would look good enough on the mountain without some of the wild paint jobs we're going to see.

I know of at least one more that is yet to be removed which is definitely not appearing. I wonder what the start number will be? Maybe we should have a poll.

Not massively surprised considering one of the co owners of the team is wanting to sell out to someone else. Bit of uncertainty in what's happening with UA especially with their BTCC involvement also. Shame though. I enjoyed talking to the UA guys on Saturday night this year. Top speed? We don't care about top speed it's all acceleration that matters

Patrick Long, Rene Rast, Markus Winkelhock, Lauren Vandhoor, David Brabham, John Bowe, Steve Owen, David Russell,

Add to this the the likes of Salo, Schneider, Bruni and Vilander who are awaiting announcement in their respective cars I think this gives a good indication and basis for decision making on attendance.

You would travel that far for Lowdnes, SVG, Rick Kelly but not for Salo, Schneider, Long, Vandhoor, Brabham or Rast? Further to that multiple world champion Robb Huff, Guy Smith etc?

If so - good luck to you. There is no pleasing.

I wouldn't travel that far to just see those Aust drivers either.

however i do pay $50 a month to watch those guys you listed race in various world championships and the benefit i also get V8 supercars next year

Do you attend the October v8 race?

In regards to the tv, I call someone in a v8 thread mentioning something along the lines of "there is nothing like being there"
