The announcement tomorrow is not related to Dempsey. Dagys just said so on his twitter. Looking forward to finding out what is. I have a feeling its Porsche related, don't know why.

Hasn't there been a rumor for awhile of one of the well-funded GTC teams moving up to GT? JDX Racing, perhaps?

Here is what I have for GT this season:

2x P&M Corvette
2x SRT Viper
2x RLL Z4
2x ESM 458
1x Risi 458
1x Miller 911
1x Falken 911
1x TRG Vantage


I have no idea what the announcement will be tomorrow, would love it if a new team is announced with a new car. Looking at that list above it is pretty amazing that Ferrari has the most cars with 3!

I'd almost agree with you. I still think it's a GTC or GT3 cup team (think a Porsche with the Snow's)

Maybe Level 5 running a Porsche or Ferrari in GT?

So my first guess (Porsche related) and not my 2nd (Griffin Ferrari) was correct. I think this is excellent news as Core has been a good team the last two years and Long/TKS will be a very good lineup. My only regret is that they won't be ready until Laguna. Selfishly would have loved to see them run at Sebring and compete for the championship. This essentially makes up for the loss of the #45 FL.

He's racing for MTECH in the ELMS with a Ferrari according to Dailysportscar, so probably not related to the ALMS. As for CORE, really pleasant surprise and yes, a very good driver line-up.

Must be ex-lizards. No one would buy a brand new 2012-spec Porsche when Porsche is no longer supporting it and the 991 generation is right around the corner.

...and since Porsche is no longer making the 2012 spec car, hard to buy a new one.
With the CORE intro video linked in LP's post, I'd guess it's an ex-FLM, as that's the car featured in their video.
IIRC, Porsche said that engineering would be provided to teams, but development stops.
