I have also not seen him in Blancpain I think? Didn't he race a McLaren there last year?
Health issues have kept him out of racing since then, but he should be making a comeback next year if all things go well

Must have missed that ...

Hope he makes a good recovery and we'll see him back soon.

I have to think Audi are driving to a pace. Right now Lotterer and Bonanomi are matching each other which quite frankly doesn't happen when Lotterer has his way.

See your point on a whole array of levels, but my basic stance going into this was I had no expectations about the Kolles and they exceeded that comfortably by running really quite a lot, and going into the weekend I figured that the Nissan objective had to be to make sundown, which they did.

Yes, both should be quicker, and in Nissan's case a load of soul seeking is needed, but none of those four cars disgraced themselves; I'd rather have seen them than another Oreca LMP2 or identikit GT.

MihokS5 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

I was thinking the same thing. They aren't even close to the Porsches time, but we know the R18's can go faster. Think they are laying low through the night and will go on a tear in the a.m.?

Oh, no, my point was that Kolles stated his aim was to beat the Nissans and RLM/Hindhaugh has been using it to bait them, but now it's looking more possible - I'd like to see them do it for being plucky enough to keep fixing it and sending it out, although another 40 laps might be a bit too ambitious.

This makes no sense though as we've seen that the Porsches are a match on ultimate pace, and by being slow now they're just letting the 19 pull further away.

#64 Corvette is on a mission at the moment, running much quicker than their qualifying times would have suggested.

Shame #97 retired early on with an engine failure.

Sam Hancock coming across very well on the Eurosport commentary

Aston just gained masses of time under that slow zone braking, seemed very late.

This is the problem I have with that assumption as well. If Audi could go faster in this situation, they would. Add that to the fact that all three cars are consistently slower by the same margins and I think they've done something very un-Audi - they've got the setup (tyres) wrong.

Sunrise is due in a few hours, right? It can't come soon enough for the four rings...

It is so unconventional seeing Audi lose ground at night. That was usually when they'd catch up in the past. I think #9 might catch a break by pitting during a slow zone period.
