According to Takamitsu Seki Engineer,
In Toyota, Higashi-Fuji Technical center had taken charge of development and supply of RI4A engine, but TRD takes over it from the next season. http://ms.toyota.co.jp/jp/sf/racerep...suzuka-05.html |

The NSX Type-R(GT3) model was suppose to debut at the Tokyo Motor Show but didn't happen because Honda didn't want to take away from the Honda NSX debut.(NSX was delayed 6 months from December 2015 to June 2016 sales date)
So maybe debut at Auto Salon Show in Jan 2016 and replace the CRZ-GT in SGT gt300? Will race in IMSA GTLM in 2017. |

The rain decided to make an appearance at just the right time to make things even more interesting - I bet that a fair few teams did not want to have to deal with a wet qualifying session...
In the battle of the red car versus the blue car, the Calsonic Impul has taken the first round. Yasuda qualified 5th while Matsuda could only manage a lowly 12th. Of the outside championship contenders (who all need to win and to have both Nissans do badly), Yamamoto put the Raybrig NSX in 3rd, Ito is 4th with the Petronas RC-F, Tachikawa is - not on pole - 5th in the Zent RC-F and S-Mola GT-R with Motoyama is 13th. Pole went to Caldarelli in the Keeper RC-F. GT300 saw a dominating pole for the AP-R Prius (almost two seconds quicker than the second placed Gainer SLS) with everyone's favourite itasha in 3rd. |

Rooting for the Raybrig Honda, but surely it will a battle between the blue car and red car tomorrow
In GT300, hoping for better luck for the Prius and the Miku SLS |

But it's not the case for #46 MOLA GT-R, starts P13 (just behing #1 Motul GT-R). Well I hope so for Prius and Miku SLS! Still not sure if Prius will compete next year... |

While they won't win the title, I'll be satisfied on seeing either the Prius or the Miku SLS winning the last race.
As for GT500, I wanna see either Team Kunimitsu's Raybrig NSX or Team Impul's Calsonic GT-R win in Motegi to take the title from MOTUL NISMO. |

I don't rate the chances of the others much, only the Zent Cerumo RC-F is really close enough to put pressure on the #12 should the #38 win the race. It would be quite nifty to see a title winning car that hasn't won a race though, I don't think that's happened before. Looks like this will be on just too late for me to stay up, so an early bedtime it is. |

Hope it goes to the wire. Rooting for the Zent to see if Ishiura can do the double (S-Formula and SGT) driver title.

Which would also give Tachikawa his 4th title, all with the same team while co-driving with different drivers, which would be pretty remarkable. I believe he's also been in GT500 longer than anyone.

#PlacesDaisukeItoWouldRatherBe
? edit - S-Road Mola GT-R hits the Love Live McLaren GT3, safety car. Excellent driving from Quintarelli and pit work from the Motul team get Matsuda out in 4th, Izawa 5th, Yasuda 6th. Scuppers the Prius' excellent race, pit lane is closed so it can't stop. Last edited by J Jay; 15 Nov 2015 at 05:42. |

The red car clinches the title!
Blue car couldn't capitalize on starting ahead of the red car, which really had a great drive from 12th to 2nd. Good to see the #100 on the podium, which should give it 3rd in the championship. In GT300, another win for the Prius even after being penalized by that safety car. Finally a podium for the Miku car too |

Well, that was a crazy and climatic race in Motegi! While the Keeper TOM's won Round 8, it was MOTUL Autech NISMO GT-R who won the championship! Congrats to Matsuda and Quintarelli for winning the 2015 GT500 championship!
Meanwhile, it's sucks that the Good Smile Racing didn't get first place with their Hatsune Miku SLS. Great job for the Prius GT300 car though! |
