Third at their home track isn't a brilliant result in any season of SuperGT, especially coming off the back of beating Toyota so handily at their track.
Rossiter handily dodging the "who drives last" question. He has had a great race, and I wouldn't mind seeing him in LMP1-H soon. Last edited by J Jay; 31 Aug 2014 at 09:23. Reason: A-ha! Now I only look marginally foolish |

Hearing the RLM audio stream, good thing they're informed most of the time regarding itasha cars like the Otonokizaka 911 and the Hatsune Miku Z4.
Imagine if MRN did the broadcast of Suzuka... |

I agree your opinion, since the mother chassis is won't work for hybrid powertrain, then The BMW M2 (the basic model is M235i since the M2 was not yet produced as the production model) is the best for BMW for building the mother chassis if Team Studie needs a mother chassis for the next season. Any opinion? If you not agree pls specified the reason. Sorry for late reply Last edited by AkioAsakura95; 31 Aug 2014 at 16:03. |

It's okay as I'm hearing the replay of the Suzuka race via RLM! I kinda chuckled when discussing those two itasha cars in the GT300 class.

Which 4 chassis (model) do they order, or just one model only or something ??? Or use 4 team each (mother chassis) for next season Last edited by AkioAsakura95; 31 Aug 2014 at 16:06. |

More seriously, I was slightly surprised when Sam mentioned the GT500s made ~650hp now. Although it makes sense given how much faster they are despite reduced aero. I assume that next year the cars will make this as a combination of engine and hybrid, or will they have 650hp plus whatever the hybrid can give? |

The power from the thermal engine should be in a range of 530-550hp. This year GT500 cars don't use air restrictors anymore but like f1 and lmp1, fuel flow sensors... to me GT500 engines are set to rev 7500-8000rpm (higher rev, higher final power achieved). |

I would say that even 550 sounds too low though, using the oft-reliable maxim of they-make-more-than-they-quote and seeing that the quoted output for all three is "over 550PS" (542+ hp). |

Was I hearing things when RLM mentioned a possible DTM presence at the Fuji sprint round?

copy and past from the late march 2014 bop .pdf
the hybrid system can recover only 0.88MJ per lap and release only 21kw (28hp). The energy is supplied only after the engine revs to 7500rpm or more (assuming google translation is correct). If the 21kw value is true, I guess is not a great deal to carry on 70kg extra only for 28hp... |

RLM mentioned that possibility during the broadcast of Suzuka 1000Km, but that's pure speculation.
If ACO and GTA made a deal of having P2 cars competing (although they would compete in the GT500 class if GTA doesn't allow to race under their own class), that'll be huge considering AsLMS being on life support as we speak. |

Lmp2 at suzuka is a bad idea to me... there will be only few cars and basicly will be a sub class between gt300 and gt500. This year gt500 cars are faster than a lmp1-L |

Well, I was thinking of that too regarding LMP2. In fact, it'll be similar to the DP/P2 debacle this year in TUSC.

It will be much worse than DP/P2! to me it will be more interesting to see german DTM cars as "guest stars", maybe one per brand (example an audi rs5 with rockenfeller/ekstrom, an m4 with wittman/spengler, an AMG with vietoris/wickens). Of course german DTM min weight will be decreased to 1020kg and maybe unrestricted, knowing that at 7500rpm the V8 4.0 barely developes 500hp |

True, and also they need to toughen up their flimsy aero if DTM cars want to survive. Oh yeah, I forgot about DRS too since they need it!

The 1070kg (50kg weight handicap) minimum is for the NSX being mid engine iirc. The hybrid should be included in the handicap. So if Lexus or Nissan ran it, minimum weight would be 1020kg still...? Im pretty sure unless they changed it.
I too think 650hp is optimistic for gt500. Maybe at the crank, with 575-600hp at the wheels, anyone agree with that? |

the super gt site confirms the data that I reported
http://supergt.net/tandds/team/2014/6 nsx weight is 1090kg because: 1020kg + 70kg of the hybrid system. Nissan and Lexus weight is 1020kg because don't have hybrid systems. About power, to me 600hp is unlikely and I explain why... because of fuel flows the engine must to be set to rev as low as possible (watch toyota lmp1, last year the engine was revving close to 10000rpm, this year revlimit is 8500) and to achieve 600hp I guess that the engine has to rev over 8000rpm! if the engine revs over 8000rpm all the race long, I guess that the car will consume more than allowed. Forgot to say that german DTM won't go nowhere with hankook |
