Im delighted for them . The last few years they were kinda like a shadow of what they had been before .
Happy to see them back in such a capacity , and happy to see a decent Corvette outside the US . Last edited by The Badger; 7 Nov 2010 at 11:26. |

Couldn't some of the Euro Corvette drivers from GT1, like Carsport, etc, join them?
Still too early to tell but Larbre does lack drivers but there are quite a few in Europe who have experience with the Vettes. 1 or 2 guys from the American team would certainly help the transition. Will be nice seeing the Vette on European circuits. |

Looked like Labre were more interested in the GTE-AM side of the races. Anybody know the racing pedigree of any of the stated drivers for the sole car so far? 'Rising French star Julien Canal and Swiss ace Gabriel Gardel will be joined by Patrick Bornhauser at the wheel of the GT2 contender.' from the SPEED article
Does suck that the factory P&M team won't be running in the ILMC, even with one car. |

Gardel and Bornhauser are long time GT racers .. Gardel is decent, Patrick is more of a gentlemen driver . Canal seems a bit better than the other two

It would be nice if if it was Gardel or Canal partnered with someone like Bouchut or Lamy, they would be quite strong.

For us chassis number geeks and history buffs, an interesting email from Nigel Dobbie today:
Hi David, ...........some news for you, I guess you saw the announcement last week that Larbre Competition will be running a C6R GT2 in the ILMC next year and will compete at Sebring, Petit, Le Mans, etc. with the car. It will be the current Corvette Racing chassis number 001 (#3 / #63 car). The 002, the current #4 / #64 is also likely to be sold. Again this may go to Larbre as their announcement mentions running 2 cars at Le Mans. The 2011 Corvette Racing #3 / #63 season car will be chassis 003 and #4 / #64 will be chassis 004, which will both run with updated electronics and paddle shift gear changes. You may also like to know that my book is now out "Corvette Racing - The GT1 Years" which can be ordered from www.vetteheadracer.wordpress.com and it has a Facebook fan page too. .......... Regards, Nigel S. Dobbie |

It's almost 600 kilometers... and they'd have to be at both circuits on Saturday as well as on Sunday...

You know, they could go and drive the second Labre Corvette (if there will be one)... it may not be a factory car, but it's still the good old V8 American Thunder I can't see Corvette entering third entry, or replacing the drivers of other car...

Would love to see those three in the great race. If the car ran in the livery of the WTCC cars then it would be a beauty indeed!
