I'm not certain, but it does feel a bit like:
Cress mentions Jag + Excelr8 mention a new build + Oliver Shepherd saying '[MG] fits with our ‘Great British’ theme' = 'Many rumors have circulated about Triple Eight taking on a new touring car project for the BTCC [...]. Volvo, Kia and more has been mentioned' And - The [FK2] road car has a flat floor so presumably the touring car is able to use this to its advantage. |

That's a bit harsh. He had some great results and did really well for someone with such limited experience. He's really taken Austins mantle as the fans favourite as well.

Yeah, wasn't quite as bad as I expected but his points total is very much down to wet-dry races. A driver with such limited experience needed another year or two in the Ginettas before stepping up, really.

Twice he DNF'd on Lap 1 - the same amount of times as Jordan and Morgan. If early lap incidents are the metric - then Goff's retirements on Laps 1,1,0,2 and 0 are surely more of a concern? |

I was maybe being a bit harsh, he scored more points than Nic Hamilton, Rob Smith, Sam Osborne and Carl Boardley combined!

As well as that, he is a true enthusiast and we need more of those in motorsport

It's about as flat as other NGTC builds. And while we're on the subject of the FK2's non-flat floor, consider the following: All NGTC cars use the same 80L fuel tank. When discussing the mounting of this in articles, the differences in floor and fuel tank between FK2 and FK8 were revealed in 2018: 'The latest-generation Civic has its fuel tank in a sensible place – by the rear seats – whereas the previous car had it underneath the front seats. For the race car, it was redeployed somewhere that would be safer in a crash anyway, but what it also meant was that the [FK2] car’s floor wasn’t completely flat. Today, it [the FK8 floor] is flatter for longer, nothing protrudes beneath it, not even the race car’s exhaust – this gives aerodynamic advantages. This can be seen when you look at the FK8 underfloor: |

i think the original poster was getting confused between the S2000 FK2 and the NGTC FK2. the S2000 FK2 had a 'flat floor' but the NGTC FK2 never did as the regs didnt allow it.

Mike Bushell for HARD.
Very pleasantly surprised to see him back, but going by his pace at the end of last season he deserves something a little bit quicker. Still, good luck to him, hope the CC is competitive next season. With Crees and Coates both heavily rumoured, pretty much confirms the HARD line-up and means Boardley and Thompson (yes!!) are moving on to another team. |

Genuinely surprised Bushell is at Hard. They have a top driver line up. I just hope they employ the personnel to give them both a reliable and fast car. Think them CCs are well past their best though, no matter what people keep saying. BMR/888 struggled with them towards the end of 2015. That was before GK was let loose in chopping them up. Theyve all had a very hard life. Could do with 2 second hand road going CCs to get some new shells built from IMO. Cheapest way to acquire new cars for the team.

They’ve got two top drivers so far, Goff was a championship contender in the Civic.
