How so? He overcooked it entering the pits and had to bail.

Easy mistake to make, but high consequences. Just shows how hard they're pushing in even 5th and 6th...

That was a scary moment for Ed Brown, looks like a mechanical failure.

Worrying that it took so long for the marshal's to get there.

Hey Ed, the nearest airport is a few miles away.

I hope he's alright after that lift-off. Still a bit silly to be going into the last corner that hard and fast especially with the setting sun.

Apparently he radioed in that he had suffered brake failure.

And now we have #2 with a very weird pit stop. Stopped in #1 pit stall.

That would explain going into the corner 30mph too fast. It's a shame for the ESM crew who were doing okay at their home race.

The #8 keeps the pace with the #18 with 5 sec difference but the #17 seems unstoppable. Also surprised to see te #7 lose so much time to the #8.

Even though the #8 is being driven by Jarvis, who had not impressed one of our Brasilian members at all

--

If the #17 Porsche is on one of the recycled qualifying tires like RLM said, then it is doing a very good job

--

Good save by Conway to keep the Toyota out of the barriers !

I think that one goes down as the Toyota being unsighted. Conway was very quick with the pedals to stop it going into the barriers, nice save Mike.

Didn't Audi's boss say they are using different strategies ? Might explain the difference. Treluyer was also complaining about understeer.

speaking of big names making weird errors (after davidson's pit not-entry..): webber missing his pit box, having to be pulled back by his mechanics ... lost him less time than davidson lost, naturally, but still ~30 seconds due to GG
(ps streaming is and has been fine all the time)
