View Poll Results: Where will the WEC US round 2017 be held?
Circuit of the Americas (early September? with PCW?) | 17 | 36.96%
Indy - plenty of history and, more importantly, plenty of run off | 6 | 13.04%
Montreal - close enough to the US border and would serve US N-E audience very well | 8 | 17.39%
Road America - the only right choice but lots of 'upgrading' to do to please the FIA blue blazers | 7 | 15.22%
no US (or Canadian) round at all - the WEC doesn't need a race there anyway... | 6 | 13.04%
somewhere else in North or South America (Brazil???) | 2 | 4.35%

Looks like Rusinov and G-Drive might pull out over driver ratings. What a joke.

The driver ratings are mental.
So Rusinov is a Gold for not winning the WEC title in an LMP2. Rory Butcher is a gold, despite only being a GTE driver for a year and not winning the GTE Am (AM!!) Title. But the fastest silver in ELMS, Mr Thiriet, is still a silver because his car failed and he didn't win the title. |

After all his comments throughout the season about the insanity of the driver ratings system, I'm genuinely surprised that the ACO didn't accidentally "upgrade" DHH to a Gold.

Some obvious moves, some surprising (to me!) possibilities:
http://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/v...in-gt-shakeup/ Bruni to Porsche?! |

Surprised that Luhr would be dropped. Maybe the off track dram at Petit played into this?
Dirk Werner back in a 911 should be entertaining. Bruni in a 911...not gonna happen |

There were rumors after mid season that he wasn't performing up to the rest of the crew and was probably on the way out. Doubt the Petit thing has any bearing on not returning since I think that decision was made before that weekend.

I've seen Lucas Luhr driving very well in the past (Muscle Milk, some stints at Audi, Spa 24 hours iirc for BMW). Maybe he's not a consistent performer over the season. |

That was Primat who dumped a DTM race in favor of doing a running event. And Audi Sport dumped him in retaliation (not that I blame them). He was also going downhill as far as his performance at Audi since winning the LMS drivers' title in '08. He struggled with the R15 and then in DTM. Audi were probably not going to renew his contract/allow it to lapse anyways at that rate.

Collard, Perrodo Step Up to LMP2 With TDS Racing
They will be joined by Matthieu Vaxiviere. The future of the Thiriet by TDS program in ELMS is unclear. http://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/c...th-tds-racing/ |

I'm guessing "very unlikely". Lamborghini has its own racing program now, and the people in Audi who would be most suited to this are most likely already on Audi's customer GT3 programme.

So at least the F1 Baku / Le Mans clash has been removed.
