Last year the F1 pole was 1:20.597, the slowest F1 qualifying lap was 1:23.990. I reckon the LMP1 pole will be a late 1.31, so if you assume the lap changes have cost cars 5 seconds a lap, that means current LMP1's are 8 seconds quicker than (Privateer) 2001 LMP900's!!!! Agreed.
Their scheme last year was one of the best. |

I think it looks pretty good in Blue/White. IMO their livery last year was too busy with minor sponsor decals, etc.

Far better than Speedy Sebah's interpretation of the Lola Coupe livery.

Seems Embassy had a few scrutineering issues which needed to be resolved before they could take to the track (which meant a very late night).
Friday report from the Embassy Racing website is here. With so little testing time under their belts, the main aim this weekend is to bring both cars home (performance will come in due course). |

Seems like Eurosport has really taken LMS to the headlines... not. Not even a single piece of news about the whole race. |

Hello
Thank goodness for MOTORS TV. After the fanfare of Eurosport taking over the coverage of LMS I was not surprised when I scrolled through the TV schedules to find they were only showing 45 mins at the start. MOTORS TV is showing the race albeit with two interruptions for the FIM MX2 Motocross event. At least I'll be able to get their whole coverage recorded on one DVD. Nick |

Interesting to note that in qualifying for the Radical European Masters this morning, the factory SR8 set a pole time of 1:45.547.
