Audi really got burned on the FCY. They were 3rd and 4th before the yellow, now they're back to 5th and 6th and out of contact with the cars that they passed just before the yellow.

Wow, #20 Porsche and #7 Toyota have lost a bucket load of time on that last lap.

And the Audi boys have the hammer down--that's their only option to catch back up to fighting for a podium.

Audis only cars constantly in the 1:18 bracket since we went green. At least they've been faster and more competitive than at the Tilkedrome rounds. That's the biggest area that they'll need to improve on for next season to be a major threat for the title.

Things have at least re-shuffed to being back as they were when Audi were making their run for the podium before the last pit cycle.

Both ran wide. Probably get a drive through though. Hindy is annoying at times. Wish it was just engine noise.

Di Grassi fastest lap 1:18.4. The sheer speed is there in favourable circumstances (no traffic, shorter straights, etc.) but Audi do need to bite the bullet and go overweight to ensure the higher energy allowance.

If the #8 and #14 didn't have a 40 second lead over the rest of the field, there'd be a helluva race among the top 6.

heh, it took them some time but #7 gets the drive-through for its contact. Audi's back on it. Tarmac might start cooling down some more again, which might hurt Audi again, ... only 1:45 left in this WEC season. Damn you.

Lotterer around Hartley, #7 gets a stop and go for avoidable contact, which means that Audi will likely be 3-4 in a couple of laps time when things cycle though.

do we have ALL P1 factory teams beneath the previous lap record now?
At least all but one are sub 1:18.7, the "slowest" being the #7 with 1:18.778,
what was the previous record again? Only knew it being an "18.7"...

Things really fell into place for the #14 Porsche. The altitude, a well timed FCY, the #8 getting into trouble and the #8 making the daft decision to change tires for the last stint. Congrats to them.
