promax has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
constant rumours about disgruntled teams unhappy with the direction of the series going

can't say I've heard any teams come out publicly for or against any unification of the 2 V8 series.. or the direction the current management is currently taking the series. interestingly though.. the comments aren't coming from NZV8 side or MSNZ

I thought you meant that after Two years there is still only 5/6 TLX Cars running at best, and not likely to get any better in the near future, and the only way to save themselves would be to join up with ST somehow. And if the Richards Team Toyota's are not seen again my guess is it will be all over anyway.

didn't think you'd be so defensive LOL very interesting

boy a couple of converted ST would look good running with the 5/6 TLX cars.. eh? that would help to improve numbers

FYI. Only 5 TRX's have been completed todate, and Varney's car is for sale.

well it's no surprise so many new V8s are for sale or parked up I doubt sponsors are climbing all other each other to sponsor V8 teams after all the bs that's been going on over the past few years. it's a damn shame all these egos damaged the sport

pukekohe if you got a few bucks lying around.. be a pal and buy the Varney car for me I'd gladly take it

That's not good then. Take away the varney car and that's 4, them minus the Toyotas and you have Two. Maybe we will be saved by the Nissan. Let's hope the Engine didn't Come From a Nissan Patrol Diesel, or maybe they could have a Diesel class, at least it might win that

From what I could see at Timaru, the problem was the Driver, not the engine or the car, but then MaKenzie was off the pace as well, and didn't they spend over $300k in getting it running, then sold for a half that?

well ST aren't exactly cheap either after seeing the damage to the poor Tasman car and hearing how much it's going cost to fix.. I don't think I want one of those are the team going to bin the chassis and start again.. or just cut their losses?

I guess if you are after cheap racing you don't go down the NZV8ST path...

If you are disappointed when you don't win a race, are you appointed if you do win it?

Blackpearl is a back marker
So now with a new spec engine that is up to you for the coming season, mandatory the next. why are these guys trying to put more expense into a engine that works fine?

How many st are sitting around of the 22 built.

Explanation, BP is simply trying to make capital out of some inturnal discussion's at V8ST that have come to his attention, what I can say is that while this is up for discussion its a "dead duck" in the vast majority of Franchise owners opinion.

I do however agree that the current spec engine works fine, in fact its a very good peice of kit, personally I would like to see the Ti rods replaced with steel rods, which is work in progress and as all the teams know I have already built and dyno'd a prototype of that engine spec, but there is a cost to this and as I said before, I agree with BP that the engine now works fine as it is.

Capable drivers and funding don't always go tegether. You need the Complete Package, hard to come by. More work needed off track than on it
