Surely Kitten wouldnt be too keen to stick with FFF, their 2 races so far have resulted in a DNS and a DNF. Also Dodo at FPR seems a bit of a stretch? If the rumours of a big player moving in to take over Castrol are true, then what are Dodo doing?

just sitting here thinking after reading eNews. on the one page there is an article with D'Alberto looking for a REC (tbh i can't see him finding one) but no mention of Tasman this time. then in a bigger article about RNR/Bottle-O to FPR they mention Bargs as a possible candidate, so if it's not D'Alberto or Bargwanna in #3 then could one M.Skaife be enticed out of retirement after a couple good enjoyable performances??? probably not but i'd like to see it he retired to early i said it last year and still do i wish he sold HRT and went and just drove for someone else.

as for D'Alberto if he can't find a REC which is highly likely with how hard they are to come by atm is Tasman his fallback?

if not either Bargs, D'Alberto or Skaife then who is in the #3 seat.

TBH if i was Tasman i'd look at Andrew Thompson if he misses out on the FPR gig as hebrings dough and has talent.

These three in more trouble than most

Team owner house for sale

Bills and loans out standing, to a lot more people than is known, 50K here 100K there, soon adds up

A couple of the for mentioned teams may not even see the year out

Lee Holdsworth will be at GRM next year. His contract expires at the end of 2010 and he is very keen to see it through. Maybe next year we can talk about him leaving???

GTR dont quote me on this but..... what ive heard is that it could possibly be a 4 car relationship with the 3 teams currently invovled ie: tasman (greg murphy racing) britek and wsr and the possibility of playing both sides of the fence ie: holden/ford isnt out of the cards which would essentially maintain there relationship with 888 race engineering and the development of the cars

I have heard that he was a hot tip to replace S Richards whom also has a 2010 contract but may be swept aside if Lee is available.

But that's the problem EBXR8 - he's not available.
I asked Garry on Thursday at the mountain and he said that Leethal and Robbo were both set to stay next year. I mentioned the Ford thing and Holdsworth: "Lee won't be going anywhere next year" - GR

Like I said in an earlier post, Leethal's contract runs out at the end of next year. He will be in his prime and another year like this one in 2010 means he will most likely be able to write his own cheque (If you get my drift).
I think Lee will move on in 2011, whether FPR still have a seat available will remain to be seen.

Ahh Thanks for the Clarifcation belly, it was major scuttlebut before PI that FPR were a knocking. With a breifcase full of coin, so at least GR is able to keep him for next year at least.

With that said i still dont see S richards at FPR next year, if SBR pick up the Castrol Dollars as is reported i see him asd the pilot of that mobile, As for his replacement if Lee is unavailable, Mabye Mr Webb, Youlden or Thompson all possible no 2's to frosty

That noise has been around for a while.

Its odd that the Kelly Racing squad were talking up the 4 car concept earlier in the year, suggesting the operating costs for 4 cars are similar to running 2 cars...

... yet in a double page spread in the Daily Telegraph at the weekend, the team suggested that theirs was a $14m a season operation across 4 cars

The 2 customer cars have not looked competitive too regularly, not always because of the driving staff... but there seems to be a clear distinction in car quality/speed between the 2 black and white units, and the other 2... plus the rotation of the pilots has not helped...

motofan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
maybe there in lies the problem 14 mill across 4 cars equates to 3.5 a car where as a team like vodafone, hrt? and fpr have a budget of 12 across two maybe the money they are spending on the two low performing vehicles just isn't worth it?

I doubt that dodo/247/hitech oils would bring 7million sponsorship to the table if anything itd be 2 million all up so that brings the budget to 12 sounds good to me?

Does Coulthard have a contract? I'm sure they would like to put someone more established than that lot at FPR.

Giovanardi is out of contract? He has a win in most major touring car series and is leaving the shut-down 888 Vectra team, how hard can it be to switch from 2000cc + grip to 5000 cc + not-grip to have a crack at the Australian title? Got to be more fun than driving one of 4/5 Cruzes against a similar works fleet of Beemers and Seats in some sort of team order based absurdity!

Matt Neal, another 888 BTCC star, is out of contract too. Certainly the Brits see no reason why he couldn't have a crack down under for a bit of fun, even if Seton fans do.
