If they're talking about a new gearbox, and plenty of time in the tunnel, they may bring out an all new car.

Horag's racing plans become a bit more clear. Fredy Lienhard will retire after Silverstone when he celebrates his 61st birthday. Horag will campaign the RS Spyder that Lienhard owns for 2009 before the car will be retired and put in a Swiss museum.

Just saw over on GT-Eins , they are suggesting that RML may be interested in running an Aston Martin LMP2 engine ?

It would make sense to get in on the act now if production engines are going to be the only game in town for P2.

Lars Erik Nielsen retires at Silverstone, selling his 997 GT2 RSR 4 liter. He thinks he has earned after a lot of racing succeses, not to mention the two podiums at Le Mans.

Richard will need to find a new seat, but Lars Erik managed to promote both the Farnbacher team with Dominik and not to forget Allan Simonsen and Richard Westbrook.

DSC reports BMW-Sodemo will supply engines for Pescarolo's LMP2 effort.

Also that Reiter Engineering will run a GT2 Gallardo.

I presume you mean a diesel engine ? Is diesel allowed in LMP2 now ?

Over on mariantic , the rumour is that the Van Merksteijn Spyder has been sold for the 2009 season . Wonder is Versheur has bought it ? Hope so .

Also , Theys & Lammers are going to run with the Horag Spyder , with a pay driver , and the 2nd chassis is also available for the right wedge .

Diesels are allowed in P2, but I don't think this is it. Sodemo already has a 4L BMW V8 based on the M3 engine developed (spark ignition, petrol/E85)

I Thought Peter van Merkstein was not returning next year?

This quote on DSC from him implies to me he is

"The Porsche has just been fantastic, it has run so well with such great reliability. Very happy and looking forward to next season.”

That was the rumour ..... but "looking forward to next season" means just that ..... probably in rally though .

I hope Verscheur bought it though , and run Verstappen & Bleekamolen . That would be a crackin line up .

Another quote from his PR yesterday "Now we will consider all the options and will decide on future activities in due course”, said Peter van Merksteijn"

But RLM certainly said the car was sold and that we would know the new owner. That got me thinking about David Hart or John Bosch... pure speculation though (any other rich Duch / Belgians who might do this?)

The car has not been sold to anyone yet. We are however talking to a number of parties and evaluating our options for next year.

Hmm, then what about this quote from Peter van Merksteijn? @ DSC
Quote:
“The car is already sold, with all of the hardware that goes with it. I’m happy to say to somebody who wants to race, and I hope that we will see it back with Equipe Verschuur in 2009."
