Vitaphone has long been considered semi-official, and now there are factory Vette drivers like Gavin driving for Mad-Croc there must be some interest from P&M and the like? For my money Nissan is the only real 'works' set up because they are the only cars specifically built for the new regs, the rest are upgrades/downgrades etc. |

If the format of the series takes off how long before the likes of Ferrari and Porsche return to the fray?
While some may say the shorter races go against the spirit of sports cars or endurance racing, it does seem to produce strong racing and exciting results. I suppose comparing it to the late 90's Super Touring BTCC format isn't unfair. The two race concept worked well there, and this is similar just with considerably more expensive toys There's already talk of another manufacturer joining the series and how good would it be to have the Porsche 918 and 599 GTO racing in 2011. |

Was anyone able to get chassis numbers for the cars at the track?
I know a few teams numbers, but I need more - Mad Croc Corvettes are 002(#11) and 006(#12) - Phoenix Corvettes are 001(#14) and 005(#13) - Triple H MC12s are 07(#33) and 09(#34) Anyone know any others? Specifically looking for the Vitaphone MC12s and the Astons. |

Anyone here in the U.S. catch the 1-hour race capsule on Bloomberg TV this morning? All without any commentators!

Johnny Herbert made for a fine co-commentator, wonder will he be back? Either commentating or behind the wheel

Perfect combination in the box would be JH with Ben Edwards; he didn't commentate on Silverstone due to a BTCC clash, but there's only one more clash between calendars in September, so we might see this combo for Brno next week.

Mark Cole? Meh... at least it's not Carlton Kirby as lead commentator.

I must admit, I preferred the pairing of Ben Edwards and Danny Watts.

I thought Herbert did a great job. Particularly enjoyed him collapsing with laughter at some of driving in the GT3 field... Wonder why he did it though. Was he in the paddock looking for a drive perhaps?

I enjoyed it. Just finished watching both GT3 and GT1 race two today. Some good racing, may have even been more exciting than the previous layout. Ford GT, GT40, we all understand it. The modern GT was based off the GT40.
