I must say I did enjoy him getting the Escort in insane angles out of Druids. How he never lost it I'll never know. Although I did witness it's demise at Paddock.

I once heard someone in the crowd say.. "if he could control that Escort, hed be good"...........What?? We raced her for fun and enthusiasm. Whatever comes out of the stalls next, I guess will be quicker, more sideways, and more fun!!

With Pure Maths O Level it got technical, limits were pushed with the Escort, and we were always trying to guess the angle on opposite lock. Never got the answer, but Mr Thurston always performed to extreme. Yay!!!! Watch this space, bits and pieces going on, Class A beckons, and untold business to get on the front of the grid...and to stay there, racewise......

I'm looking forward to seeing the end result then! Pass our best wishes on to Mr Thurston for his new venture.

Thanks to Rod and Co for the hospitality. A great day on Sunday was had by me and my mates.
Shame that a couple of the cars suffered, the blue mini cooper (BL not BM!) was flying through the field. Very impressive. Also good to talk to Paul Eve before the race. Thanks for the insight into the championship and taking the time to show us your car. |
