Maybe Mr Fiore take his license to FPR and give Mr Mostert a drive.

If Mr Fiore takes his bat and ball, it might take enough of the burdon off DJR for them to knuckle down, and concentrate on their own REC and CotF chassis.

Yes well this will be a start. I only see this costing Fiore money. The evidence is there for him to pack up and leave.

Its the same as to why investers are leaving. They are seeing the worst part of DJR and running.

Its the same with the idiots taking there funding to DJ and Team Kiwi. The signs are there and they keep doing it.

So Fiore has a FPR car?
Is the #17 also a FPR built car?

If so...why aren't they ready? Just not paid for?

My understanding is that Pace Innovations was building the cage and the inner construction.

FPR was providing the fabrication and alot of the inner materials of the cars. So i don't think it was a complete FPR built car all together.

The DJR cars as I understand it, are PACE-built chassis with FPR front suspension, and Triple Eight rear ends (Suspension, diff, etc). The Fiore car appears to be an FPR spare chassis, which may or may not be required pending the outcome DJR presents him at 5pm this arvo. I've been under the impression the two DJR chassis were intended to be #12 and #17.

Stories suggest that one DJR chassis is close to completion, while the other still has a way to go. They go on to suggest that a lack of funds is preventing them from purchasing (or suppliers releasing) the necessary components to complete them.

Maybe V8SC need to look at allowing last years cars for a few rounds but with a massive weight penalty or rev limit to ensure the new cars are fastest.
Can't see them being allowed to run last year's cars but the path taken on the "no show penalty" could be interesting. Under the old (TEGA) admin - the penalty has been applied under even more "exceptional circumstances" but under the new administration, this could be a bit of a watershed issue.

Will we see a NASCAR style "start and park"?

Bring the minimum number of team members required to get the cars on to the track, do the minimum number of lap in practice and qualifying and park then immediately after the start.

You still have to get a car that will pass scrutineering.

Only if you get picked-out for formal scruitineering!

Teams sign a declaration that their car meets all requirements & the 'organisers' initially rely on that!

Only a limited number of cars are then formally scruitineered each round (and then only for the specific items on the list for that round)

Clearly... nothing...

No news, no Speedcafe article, no tweets of FB'ing from people...

Scary for Mr Fiore however, he may now be stuck with finding the money to operate a car, when his intention was not to do that...

Before a log book is issued the car is inspected by a scrutineer for a pre race inspection. At the same time the paperwork is done, in most cases, to put the car in the audit system. At a V8 meeting Frank Adamson (V8 Supercars technical manager) gives the scrutineers a list of cars to be audited. As the whole field will be entering new cars at Clipsal, whole field could be selected or only a few cars. It's V8 Supercars call.

Any news yet? The only thing I see on Fartbook is a pic of all these people at DJR there to show their support and thanking them for all their support. Surely something has been decided by now?

Ahhh... how the world changes in the space of just a few hours...

Whispers from the powder room suggest that DJR now has only one 2012-spec FG chassis in their shed, the 2010 Championship winner.

It seems that the freshly rebuilt & repainted #18 Moffat car, the #49 Owen car and the freshly rebuilt & repainted #17 Johnson car were each relocated to PMM's headquarters in Norwell late last week, awaiting their final destination for their new owners.

But it is said that the story doesnt end there...

Apparently, sometime this morning, a tilt tray truck arrived at PMM to take delivery of the #17 2012-spec chassis for a new owner...

.... a new owner who may or may not be located in the Hunter Region of NSW... and who may or may not already have 2 other FG Falcon V8 Supercars in his garage

Presuming any of this actually happened

If we assume that this scenario may have actually transpired... it has you wondering whether the sale proceeds may be just enough to enable the completion of a 'DJR' CotF to show up at Eastern Creek as #17 in 2 weeks time.

As ever.. nothing seems to have been reported anywhere.. and presuming any of this actually happened of course

Did the new owners take long to 'russle-up' the funds ?
