I know the car isn't going to be on pole or set fastest race lap, but they do have a 100% finishing record at Le Mans. This point alone makes me think they have a solid chance in the race.
In 2021 they finished 364 and 367 laps. In 2022 it was 370 and 375 laps. With all the new cars in the top class, and the new safety car procedure, how many laps are actually going to be run? If they can make around 370 laps again I'd say they are in a good spot for a result. |

Was that something officially written in the rules or just somebody's wishful thinking?

Written in the 2021 rules: https://www.fia.com/sites/default/fi...2020.12.16.pdf Imagine you go to a dealer to buy a Yaris and come back home driving a GR010!

What is a Hypercar? Answer coming from Geneva: "Extreme car intended to be marketed for a road use, created by a car manufacturer of series cars, whose technical characteristics are out of the ordinary, considering the state of the art and the technique and production of its manufacturer." They did not specify if the car must be Moted tho…

A good interview with Jim in the middle of the QP session.
Talks track limits, EV, proud of their finishing record, socials. Sounded nicely upbeat. I feeling even more this might be their year. They might not get a podium, but it may be more of a result. |

Yes, i heard that and it was great to hear the positivity. He knows what the team is up against and happy to have the opportunity this year. Also recognizes their reliability here over the past 2 years could be their biggest strength.

A quick driver comparison
Average Lap time
Again there is the qualifying thing. Perhaps I should have removed. Hmmm, blast. Other than than a nice strong fast consistent crew? Last edited by Adam43; 9 Jun 2023 at 02:57. |

The team has to be so disappointed, this is their worst Le Mans finish to date. Sixth and seventh.

Not a perfect race, but they got to the end. Maintained 100% finishing record. Well done.

Their best result to date. No trophy, but the sweet satisfaction of showing what clean, solid drives will get you, in the true spirit of endurance.
I hope Jim carries on, but if he doesn't, he has a race to be proud of. |

Finished ahead of all 4 Porsches, both Peugeots, a Toyota and a Cadillac with a car of his own making, absolute legend. I hope they return. Never once finished behind a P2 in 6 starts, who else can say that. Well, maybe Ferrari one day...

Exactly right. They never had the pace to trouble whoever was leading at any time but they ran well and, as always looked the business. I sincerely hope Jim brings them back again but I have my doubts....

They may not have had the pace of the leading manufacturers, but they avoided the problems that inflicted those in front of them to get a solid 6th and 7th
If that's the last we've seen of them, at least they have that to go out on. It will be sad to see them go, but remember the old saying: Don't cry that it's over, smile because it happened. |

I hope some one will analyse how 708 and 709, had they had a “clean race”.
I suspect they actually may have had a shout for the podium, if not more! |

There were mistakes on track (for all teams), and without they could have beaten the 2nd Ferrari without much additional effort. Getting ahead of both Caddy's would been a big ask.
