Minassian needs one stop plus a splash n dash, whereas TK needs two more full stops and possibly splash and dash.

That would make it seriously interesting. I imagine Audi will try and make the tank stretch to just 2 stops.

The rain that I mentioned earlier didn't stay but it seems to be back now but may stop again..
No.1 Audi going on inters..

Hope you are right Tom, a close finish would be fantastic

Well any quick calculations are out the window now its raining! Can't believe the bravery of Minassian to stay on dry tires, surely he will lose too much time while its wet to make it worth it if it starts to dry out?

Second part of Mulsanne is still dry...
Pit straight is awash.

Slicks are definitely WRONG.

7 off at Dunlop chicane!

Kristensen ahs to make these inters last another 20 minutes or so so that he only has to pit once more.

The only way this is going to work for Peugeot now is that having done their splash n dash they have just one stop to go - if they switch to the correct tires on their last stop and the Audi's have to wait till there window they could have something to work with.

Frankly I think that pit stop has decided it.

How Minassian is keeping it pointing in the right direction through the Porsche Curves is beyond me. The guy is a legend.

Barring any problems for the No.2 it does look like a done deal though, although being Le Mans who knows?

The situation is changing by the minute, I'd just written Minassian off, but now he is quicker than TK - Audi will most likely not risk slicks so if Minassian keeps driving like this to the end and it drys up it could get closer again.

If it stays like this, Minissian will be REAL close. A lot depends on who actually will need more fuel in the splash and dash

Audi is more fuel efficient, and I think they stopped on the same lap. The gap is still pretty good. TK just needs to keep it safe.

And 7 pits, 25 minutes to go, and onto WETS.

2 minutes gap.

And growing, as that was a LOUSY stop?

Speed is on a break... why on earth go to wets? Mabee they know something we dont about the weather... but stll, if it rains Audi will follow with their tires neutralising the advantage - I would have thought roll the dice and stick with slicks.

Eurosport were interviewing Marc Gene, and he was saying that to win they have to do SOMETHING different? Hence wets... And pray for rain.

Looked to me like a typical Peugeot stop...their pitstops never seem as spot-on as Audi's...the #7 was stationary 10 minutes longer than the #2 for a reason

edit: Something is very wrong with that #7

Audi is going to take this.
I hope that this doesn't mean that the ACO will be more reluctant to "equalize" the rules next year.
