They were worried about having to do another stop for fuel if they pitted right away. But they aren't in danger of losing 4th in class or even an overall position, so might as well stop.

Looks like all the cars still running will be classified, I don't see anybody far down the order running less than 70% of the leaders laps.

If driven perfectly #91 sans the diffuser would lose 30-60 seconds in those 4 extra laps out while running a huge risk of spinning out into the scenery. Staying out any longer than the team needed to prepare all the parts made no sense whatsoever.

Not to mention that it needed new brakes too!

We planned to pit for fuel. Full course yellow meant we couldn’t pit. Had only a tiny bit of fuel to run more more lap after yellow ended, so ran 100kph to conserve fuel and barely made it back on fumes but that put us 1 lap down from P3. 4h 13 mins to go. P3 also pitted so now gap is 2:45. Leaving everything on the course to fight back. Racing.
