I Dunno if you guys have noticed, but there's a picture on the official site ( you have to go through the flickering images on the main page to see this) where you can see that they have done something with the lights. actually one is missing in this case. it still looks weird so i hope that they change it completely like everyone said here

Yeah- you're right! Image #4! If you go to the main page and click #4, there are only two lights on each side. But they look different than the normal lights that occupy their places with the 3 bulbs.

They probably will. The headlight assembly could be just there for the time being.

Duval has been confirmed with Tom's in Super GT, replacing Lotterer. I find it strange that Buemi got a Le Mans seat instead of Duval

Yeah, Buemi is an odd choice, especially with Montagny still on the market.

The rumour about Buemi was from before Peugeot's pullout, so I suspect the contract was signed some while ago and only the third seat was left (which went to Ant).

Probably, but the transfer of Duval from Honda to Toyota was arranged much earlier. You would expect that Duval's deal included a Le Mans seat.

Maybe he was in line for that third seat and they changed their mind once Peugeot's factory drivers were available? Bear in mind that apparently they studied driver performances thoroughly from last year when making their decision on which of the Oreca Peugeot drivers to keep on, and they kept Lapierre.

Porsche917K should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I think Buemi, and Nakajima are both sort of outliers. They are young quick drivers, but also the kind to make mistakes when pushing. My only hope is that driving with the likes of Wurz, and Lapierre can rub off.

Im not sure Montagny is high on anyone's radar. He may be quick but he's been the subject of so much controversy on the track. He looks to have been left high and dry due to well known antics.

Previously all 8 races counted towards the championship, now 6. Previously 2 cars per manufacturer could score points, now 1 (the highest finishing car obviously).

There isn't really anything else than those two amendments to the already existing sporting regulations.

who knows, he might even do that this season if the rules allow it. He was a bit of a fire-starter in 2010. if i remember correctly he set the lap record for that year in the Peugeot. What i dont really agree with is, Lotterer being with Audi. there's tons of ways that he could interfere with a good result for Toyota and he stil gets to be racing for them in SGT and FN.I hope that Lotterer will be in a Toyota Next season or be fully released from his Toyota Contract. I doubt that Toyota would want to risk something like this so when they bring the third car next year im hoping that lotterer and Douval will endup at Toyota it makes no sense to put them elsewhere

He's no longer in SuperGT and AFAIK his contract with Toyota is done.

It was a greater accolade than that, he set the all time race lap record.

Close but not close enough, at least according to Wiki (yes, maybe not the most trustworthy source) it seems that the fastest lap in the 1971 race was in the 3:18s but in terms of average speed though, Duval's 3:19.074 is the all-time race lap record, the 1971 lap was an average of 244 kph and the 2010 lap was 246.4 kph.

They didn't, but if Wyer registered a 3:18.40 race lap in 1971, that is indeed the fastest ever. No coincidence, I suspect, that the 1971 race was the distance record holder, until 2010.

Anyway, back on topic..........
