Not much variety, had hoped to see at least one Aston/Porsche.

One Porsche in Enduros, potential Aston still to be announced... Shame not to see much from either.

We may see a Corvette C7 do a race or two later on

no more a 458 army, now it's up to huracan. Honestly I don't expect to see C7 gt3 out of callaway team, and is a shame that there isn't any work-official team for the new 991 GT3R

Really disappointing not to see more than one Porsche. Time was the 911 was the workhorse of GT racing. It would be good to see the Callaway C7 at some point - really good-looking car.

But he said he didn't expect to see one outside of the Callaway Team's hands. Unfortunately I agree with him... When so many manufacturers are building their own cars and selling them and you can piggyback off their safety in regards to BoP, probably get a nice setup book or engineering support worked out, maybe access to a factory driver and so on, it must be a pretty tough sell for the independent builders.

I was hoping we would see a little more of the GT3 "unicorns" with the fields becoming very "same-y" over the last few years. I thought maybe some teams would look at a car like the Viper and see it as a way to stand out from the field, or likewise with a Caddy (if GM would sell some anyway ).

Totally agree Accident, my comment was regarding Callaway suggesting they themselves are looking at taking on single races here and there in several euro series to show off the car.

As much as I think GT3 will always be dominated by the big 4, I see no reason why a Callaway car or similar can't be appealing to a customer team.

I guess Audi Merc Ferrari etc just offer fair superior customer support which brings a lot to the package.

Ollie has had the fortune of being allowed to drive other makes in the last couple of years , Audi and Aston spring to mind so probably not a swap with Rocky. But one never knows.

It's because Ferrari runs all GT3 programs as customer efforts. They aren't factory programs like Audi and others.

yeah, I know I know, but this business model was great for a cheap car like was 458 gt3. This model now is followed by lamborghini with the huracan.

488 gt3 is the most expensive gt3 available and there won't be anymore any army of ferrari's as we used to see in the last years.

Here's an updated list of both categories including many new additions.

Notably my endurance list is higher than the Blancpain Entry list so I can assume either a number of cars aren't attending the test or previously announced programmes aren't going to happen.

Notably the two car MRS GT McLaren programme isn't announced on the entry list to the test, so I wonder if Garage 59 has consumed those cars and the MRS programme won't happen.

Also, AKKA ASP and HTP are showing 2 cars each on the test list when they had previously announced three, may just be for the test, or a scale back

Think you're right in your assumption that some teams have reduced the number of cars for the test. There's no point, for example, for HTP to bring four cars to HTTT when they can just rotate drivers in the two cars over the 14 hours of testing.

Plus, some teams have not received their new cars yet (or have, but very recent) - which meant no time to prepare, e.g. Ferrari teams.

You can certainly notice that at Ferrari, still lots of 458s listed at the moment!!

Is Attempto's Porsche an old or new one? I assume old, S365 suggests new.
