So, that means early Rothmans Porsches can run with Rothmans livery. But if Toyota TS020 participated it would be required to run with 'barcode' Marlboro livery, since cigarette advertising was banned in France in 1999.
And now some trivia: in the 90's in Finnish WRC round Subarus were allowed to run in 555 livery. Cigarette advertising had already been banned since 1977 but 555 wasn't available in Finland, so it somehow passed the inspection. |

The livery is not limited to what was allowed in France i would have thought if the cars ran else where in the appropriate competition then the livery would be allowed

Walter the brief hints we got from that video said it all about the wall of sound that engine can produce.
Very much looking forward to more. Cheered that car the whole way home, albeit from a distance, in 1991 so the prospect of seeing it in the company of its peers come June is highly appealing. |

I'll probably come back from the race with about 50 photos of the Mazda but I don't care. Will be a nice moment when it passes for the first time.

The thing i remember about the Mazda was the game "guess where the Mazda is"
In the campsite (houx/HA) at the time, we would all listen to the wail coming from the Mazda and try to figure out where it was from the sound and the changes as it came to Mulsanne/arnarge etc. You can not even hear the cars now days let alone tell them apart |

They fired it up in it's little 'box' in the village a while back. I was stood RIGHT next to it. My ears still haven't recovered. It's the only car that I have backed away from purely because of the noise... It HURTS.

What is the local (France) start time of the race? And out of curiosity, where on earth is this mentioned on the official website? Not here, not here either and the complete weekend schedule in supplementary regs does not include support races.
And Eurosport tv schedule on their website only shows next two weeks. |

http://www.24h-lemans.com/wpphpFichi...egulations.pdf http://www.24h-lemans.com/wpphpFichi...egulations.pdf In short: Saturday 14/6 Local time Group C Race // 10.05-10.50 (45min) Porsche Carrera cup FR/GB Race // 11.15-12.00 (45min) Nothing new as those times have been the standards for few years now, I believe 2010 was the last time when the non-Legends suppport race (Porsches then too) were scheduled to race first Group C Thursday qualifying is at 16:00 which is handy to know considering RLM usually broadcasts that session |

I asked on the group C Facebook page today and was told that the list wouldn't be out until two weeks before Le Mans.
