Fuji 1000km anyone?
The Mil Milhas can become an FIA GT event (might as well, they're going to Argentina next year anyway)

Re. promotion; its a problem to get people in to watch a 6 hour race, and tbh, LMS always seems to be more inlcined towards the drivers, 5/6 events a year suits your low-budget teams and gentlemen drivers who have businesses to run and professionals who have other commitments. One of pug's drivers is a test driver for ferrari f1 iirc.

With the ACO holding back news on the fly away event, it must be big news, so either Interlagos with much increased support for teams, or something in Asia.

As I've stated before, the ACO are very serious about getting Asia involved in their brand of racing, so I don't doubt it. It's a tough balancing act though, because increased sportscar racing interest in Asia would be a boon for the ACO, but they also need to concentrate on building the series in Europe too...

Only problem with a place like Fuji is that the time-period in consideration for an event is tempting fate in regards to weather (F1 this year is but the most recent example).

Yes that is a clusterf..., also the FIA schedule is not very well mixed with the others. Aug. 30 ALMS Detroit/ 31st FIA Bucharest, Sept. 14th LMS Silverstone/ FIA Brno, Oct. 18th ALMS Laguna/ FIA Zolder. Trey the FIA San Luis is Nov. 23rd not Oct. 23rd.

So does this mean that Hindy will not be the voice of the ALMS if he/they do the LMS? Or will they do both?

With the first three LMS races clashing with ALMS events, i doubt it will happen.

They're not at the same time though, just the same dates. A "spare" commentary team?

Why not link up with Motors TV and use RLM commentary on LMS events?

That way, Mark Cole etc. could be part of RLM's LMS commentary team, serving both Motors TV and Globecast, while Hindy and co do the ALMS events.

Hindy already works with Motors TV and, if I recall correctly, RLM commentary has been used in the past.

I really see Motors TV, RLM, DSC and Endurance Info as complimentary, the more they work together for the good of sportscar racing, the better.

It would be great if DSC was a, as it were, technical partner with Motors TV/RLM, helping both the commentary team and promoting the DSC name.
