I wonder what they will do if they have to postpone. It has happened before, but then they did not have a new season with new cars starting at the end of August. I am sure Toyota will want Le Mans at the set date so they can park the old cars and concentrate on the new ones, as will other teams using new cars for the next season.

Yes we cannot predict anything but let's only hope that if Le Mans is postponed, they will give enough time before June for people to cancel and re-organize their trip, if possible.

This is the point. It needs careful unselfish consideration by the organisers, teams and us spectators.

I am expecting an announcement near the end of April at Spa when more is known about the spread of CV.
Perhaps two 24hrs in the 20/21 championship with the Monza round moving to spring 2021 ? |

I suspect that unless things change drastically Spa won't happen.

I read that the Scuderia Ferrari (F1) have suspended their activities, so what about AF Corse and other European teams ? Oreca's preparation ? This would mean some withdrawals for June. IMO, postponing would be the wisest solution.

That's a thought isn't it Pascal. Even if we're over the worst by June, how well will the teams be prepared if they've had to stop working or make those who can work from home? It does look bleak for Le Mans in June, I have to say....

A decision on whether to postpone the big race will be announced on April 15th, seems sensible to wait a while and still give time for people to change arrangements.

N24 will now take place 24-27 September, so it won't be that weekend.

To be honest it is all speculation at the moment, new dates could well change as things change, pretty sure things are going to get worse before they get better.

Yes, they did - around ten years ago at a guess when N24 wasn’t quite as big an international draw. Wiki is your friend if you seek the exact year !

There's going to be so many events rescheduled for August/September (assuming the Europe-wide infections last 3 months - Apr/May/June) then there will have to be multiple big events each weekend.

They explain it could be the only date between the 24h motorbikes and the 24h trucks and to have all the drivers free. There will be a problem for the test day no information yet.
