Unfortunately Strakkas chances are now disappearing with Leventis. Not all Ams are equal.

Possibly. Like you said, some races they just don't feature. Today the car seems hooked up but Leventis has never been that fast. Not a criticism of Nick because he is an Am and he is safer than some (add Brown and Tracy Krohn), but he is slow. Teams like G Drive are blessed with guys like Rusinov, who is an Am but quite a bit better.

Dome, the aborted/halted LMP1-project, ...

Meanwhile I don't think the switch to Michelins is really helping the ESM cars.

Edit: Apparently it was an issue with an engine part on the #6... not really good news

True, Strakka have taken some really odd decisions as well. RLM seem to like them a lot, but while I realize this level of racing is tough, they don't look all that great very often.

That said, just them considering entering LMP1 warms my heart.

It was OAK who wanted the change, so they could compare Michelin and Dunlop.
OAK now also handles the 43 car with Morand gone.

I think there's an element of creator provincialism there. To be fair Strakka have been around for a long time without much complaint, and I imagine key members of the team are close to RLM.

The top four have almost exactly matched their total time over this stint.

2017 dates confirmed - 14-16th July. So that closes the "summer gap" by a week, which will please a certain someone we all know no end
