Then why are Red Bull so slow and still no match for Mercedes, let alone accelerating away from Mercedes? I think both Honda and Red Bull got their targets wrong as to the performance level necessary to win the 2020 championship, otherwise I don't think they would have been so (incorrectly) bullish in the pre-season if they had a more accurate target of where the competition would be at.
