That's even worse than thinking F430 looks anything like McLaren F1 GTR (like the cycling commentator at Eurosport did)

I think the deal got done very late and there wasn't enough time to get everything in place for the first race. The only good thing about the Houston ALMS being cancelled is we'll get Hindy. So the Radio Le Mans commentary and the uninterrupted Eurosport stream will make for quite the great combination.

I'll be interested to see what commentary team RLM have for the LMS and generally how they fare first time out.

I guess this is where you post -

Where's Martin Haven???

Surely he'll be on the commentary team on the Eurosport side of things, a visit from Hindy? lol

For those who are wondering the start of the Barcelona race got 35000 viewers on British Eurosport and was rancked #9 of the week, the highest being the Superbikes at 172 000.

Forgot to mention the Motors rating: 4th place of the week with 13000. 3rd was the ALMS race from St. Pete with 16000 and first was a British Rallycross race with 18000.

For Monza I only saw the figures for Motors TV. The most watched LMS show from Monza is the highlights broadcast that was on sunday evening of race day - 10 000 viewers. That's 4th place of the week. 1st - MX1 highlights - 24000 viewers.

Martin won't be at Le Mans, as he'll be at Brno for World Touring Cars.

I watched the Eurosport highlights for Spa, my Sky+ recording of the live event failed!, and it was a good, informative round-up, as ever Martin Haven was very good.

Motors TV's highlights package needs to be edited better.

Ratings update. The Sunday 30 minute highlights from Spa on Eurosport got 59 000 viewers, making it the second most watched programme of the week. Obviously that's the most watched LMS show this year and I think we have to thank John Hindhaugh, who several times plugged the start time of the broadcast on Radio Le Mans.

Will Eurosport have a live video of the race on their website?

Webstream was promised back when the broadcast deal was published... I guess Emilian will be the first one here to tell good/bad news. Btw Emilian, were all those viewers only for UK, MotorsTV too?

Also curious to see next week if the Eurosport influence has shaped up certain things in the "world feed", for example onboard cameras. Because last year those really sucked. Sound was not synchronized with the picture and the signal kept breaking up all the time in certain corners. If they're using same camera technology than in LMS, doesn't look good, even in Monza and Spa the signal kept breaking up.

Didn't you notice the dates are wrong?

June 14th would be Saturday and June 15th Sunday, they skip a day some how. Some sort of teleportation device is being used by Carlton Kriby and Martin Haven...

Plus from monday Eurosport will broadcast a short daily segment about Audis' preperation for the race.

I think the english commentary team is this (but don't quote me on it): Carlton Kirby, Mark Cole, Simon Hill (great commentator), Chris Parsons, Tony Delahunty and Henry Hope-Frost (long time Radio Le Mans pit reporter and Autosport journalist).

Also I'm not sure about the online coverage. I think there'll be streaming at least on the german and spanish site.

And yes, all the viewing figures I posted are for the UK only.

I'm not even going to bother to try to record all the segments - too much like hard work pragramming the recorder as it's switching between 1 and 2 constantly. We can all have a fair guess that each of the segments will actually start at a different time so I'll have to over run everything by 15 minutes each way and then have to edit the crud out.

I hope Eurosport do get the coverage right this time, but I by far prefered the Motors set up where it was on one channel for chunks of time.

"Not sure"? I hope you mean you just haven't heard anything about it. I sure hope their original promise still stands...

"Non-stop LIVE video streaming of the race, with commentaries, on Eurosport's websites across Europe."

Also I wouldn't base any arguments whether there's going to be stream or not on the LMS race streams, as those just turned up there. When the broadcasting deal with LMS was published on the LMS website, there was no mention of webstreams. So that was just positive extra...

Not trying to tempt fate, but I don't think timing is going to be much of a problem because when between the Le Mans segments on Eurosport International there either recorded shows (Euro 2008 games) or sports that usually don't over run (Equastrian, Superbikes and WTCC). There IS a tennis match before the 18:15 show, but the game should be over by then.
