Well, anyway Cirtoen has no circuit experience so I doubt they will dominate. Another wquestion is where Muller will drive. If some other manufacturer signs him, there will be a fight for sure.

BTW, Curitiba circuit will be closed by the beginning of 2015, so if WTCC does return to Brazil, I guess other circuits are on the list. http://www.motorpasion.com.br/automo...ivado-ate-2015

Not strictly true, and the AIC have denied this. Even if there may be discussion about a sale, bosses at the Curitiba circuit have categorically denied that the circuit will be closed.

I think with all of the manufacturers starting on even footing with new regulations, things might actually be pretty tight between everyone. I think the guys with touring car experience will obviously have the edge. Loeb will do great I think but I don't think Citroen's success is guaranteed.

I'm a little worried if Honda decides to purely focus on their F1 efforts in 2015 we might see things go one sided
Honda has always done pretty well with having many irons in the fire.

Being in F1 didn't stop them from winning in MotoGP or IndyCar in the past.

Is it possible that Honda will use the saloon version of the Civic considering the problems they have had with straight line speed??

Turn on subtitles. Citroen are going to steam-roll the series next year. Yvan Muller and Seb Loeb as drivers? I wouldn't be surprised if they win every race like Chevrolet did last year.

One of Argentinian sources claim that Renault might enter WTCC with Robert Kubica behind the steering wheel next year?.

If Muller joins Loeb at Citroën I'm afraid 2014 will be a domination-snoozefest again for WTCC. Sadly...

Citroen once again prove they mean serious business with their WTCC effort. I couldn't think of a stronger line-up both in talent and PR.

I wouldn't mind if Honda were to use the saloon version of their Civic. However, it's not a global model as the 5d Civic is. For instance, the saloon isn't available in Sweden (but it's sold in Finland).

Citroën's choice for the C-Elyssee once again shows that global motorsport is moving away from the declining European market, focussing on the South-American and Asian markets which are still growing. From that point of view I don't think a Civic Saloon would be an odd choice.

again very lousy and incompetent journalism from Touringcartimes

Yvan Muller also raced for BMW

The article refers to the manufacturers he's driven for, which are Audi, Vauxhall, Seat and Chevy. The BMW you show isn't a factory car but a local (dealer) team.

Also I think your tone is a bit harsh, what did TCT do to you to be called incompetent?

With the Muller, Loeb combo I wonder if next year will be write off. That's basically two Micheal Schumacher's in their prime at Ferrari. Add Kubica we might as well hand them the trophy.

I don't think we'll see Kubica to be honest, he seems to have focussed his efforts on wrecking rallycars built in the last few years.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the correction.

I would love to see a switch for most manufacturers to saloon models. A field of Citroen C-Elyssee, Honda Civic Saloon, LADA Granta and from 2015 and on a SEAT Toledo, that would look very nice. Hey, I would also accept a next-gen BMW 1-series (perhaps in saloon shape) even if it comes with FWD as it looks . Time will tell. But so far Citroen has one h*ll of a team already.
