I know of a Perkins Holden V8 supercar engine that is for sale, out of a vs. Complete with manifolds wiring injection and exhaust. Around $15000 it is all yours. I just want to see you get the power to the ground with the radials. They will last for a couple of laps!!!!

We could have got a Perkins motor out of a VP!

Too much power and the tyres won't last
Too little power and you won't go fast
If you want to win buy a Mazda!

Well the race car is slowly coming together I havent been able to get enough time or motivation to work on it lately. My father passed away 6 weeks ago and work has been flat out.

So all in all it has been slow but the engine is now in and it is only some minor installation work and it will run

Sorry to hear about your dad.
I am having the same trouble with finding the time to go and do some work on my car. I need to pull the engine out so it can have a freshen up (more power) and fix the oil leak. I also have a new colour scheme to put on it so i want to bring it home to do that.
I am hoping to be ready to go for the first round at Wakefield in March 05

Well after a heap of work this weekend there isnt much more to go with it. All it needs to have is the alternator and Starter fitted and some wiring done and it's done. Plan is to hopefully have it up and running next weekend.

Then take it Wakefield for the day in late January and mid Febuary. Plan is to give prosective and current sponsor a ride to get some moeny out of them

You sure will, although the priorities will be a couple of relay races to get myself back into it. Maybe we should have a Ten-Tenths team

Sorry I should fill you in. Morris is part of the crew along with the sponsor of the car. I used to help him out with his HQ Holden race car so now the favour is being returned

To whoever it was that edited my post - My God, you're kidding right ?? You people can be so anal...

I gave a link to someone who would appreciate it, it wasn't a free plug for a rival forum for the sake of it... I see plenty of others linking to other forums for news and info, what's the difference ?? hrug:

Sorry for the whinge, but some consistency would be good...
