I missed the meeting at Snetterton, can anyone give a clear and non-technical explanation to what’s happening in Britcar next year - I know I should ask mr tucker but he owes me a trophy from Brands and I think he's ignoring me for that lol. Come on Steve I’m relying on you for an awnser.

I'm glad someone's asked that question as I would like to know and don't want to keep on hounding Mr Tucker.
There was some provisional information that has since dissapeared of the web site. I am particualy interested in the Production S1 that has been mentioned - any more info anyone for those of us that aren't involved at the moment and hence don't make all the rounds. Are production going to refuel etc? I hope the Britcar element of it is not lost and that TV coverage and treatment is equal for both Britcar and Production S1. Any news anyone? |

Martin, Wilbo, I'll talk to James on Monday and get a statement from him.
The Snetterton meeting threw up some valid points, and this may well have caused a re-think on the fine detail, which may still be under review. |

Britcar's Willhire race from Snetterton was featured on World of Motorsport (Skysports2)yesterday. The coverage was ok but if the commentary is done post race how is possible for them to let it go out on air with basic errors in drivers names etc? Cant they do it again until they get it right?

Latest news - the Croft Britcar race, October 23rd, will be a NIGHT RACE, starting at 6pm, finishing 8pm.
That's 3 night races to finish the year. Racing into the winter, racing in the dark. Power in the darkness. |

The twilight slot was the BARC's suggestion, probably so they could fit some extra qualifying in - but who cares, we're breaking new ground once more.

Steve (or someone in Britcar authority), can you have a look on the marshals forum (thread about 5/6 November weekend) and respond accordingly to rumours about the Donington meeting.
Ta very much, Al. |

It's ok - answered now. Someone posted rumours saying that Donington had been cancelled, but has been put right now as it is definately ON.
Thanx anyway. Al. |

I don't believe it's even been edited yet. The edit is normally done about a week before the broadcast, and depends on what else Andrew Marriott has got on the boil for inclusion in World Motorsports.
Tramsmission details will be posted here, and on the EERC website, as soon as we know. |

Anyone getting passes & stuff from BARC for Croft might want to check the finals - no engines to be run after 1830 on the Saturday
That's why there's two people per car, one to steer & one to push :O The timetable is correct though otherwise, so no need to worry! See you all oop north (hopefully not while I'm marshalling though). Al. |

Knowing Mr Marriot it will be complete rubbish like the Outer Mongolian Lada rally championship follwed by the Japanese no-overtaking single seater championships...of course we wouldn't want to see any British motorsport that might be even half interesting! Seems any old tosh that will fill out a programme will do at the moment. Forgot to mention hours of Canadian rallying that is sure to appear soon!!
