Yesterday I've read at www.autoklub.pl, that there might be even seven Polish guys at FIA GT 2005 (althought might is a key word here ) No names were mentioned but I bet, that first suspected is Alda Motorsport They still have their 911 GT3 RS .
No idea about others, but I,ve heard recently, that Gladysz Racing Team is going to buy Porsche too. On the other hand, they might be using it only in Poland. |

This is for a view to being on the FIA GT calendar the year after. Bahrain will (is?) on for '05 after being the festival venue this year. And Saleen, I prefer Prototypes and the R8 has been a lot more reliable than any GT car! (Answer from about 7 pages ago!) |

The Audis had a 100% finishing record in the ALMS this year (13 starts, 13 finishes, none lower than third)
An R8 has never suffered an engine failure in the years they have competed - very impressive indeed. The Vettes are immensely reliable too - Just One DNS (after the Earnhardt fire in the third car) and a pair of DNF's (both as a result of contact although the Sebring retirement was finally a clutch failure after a punt fromm the Dallara) BTW I think they're both pretty fantastic bits of kit. |

Agreed Graham, although I was talking about the entire life spans of the cars, ie from 1999-2004. Not sure about the Vettes but I feel the Oreca viper over the years 1999/2000 might have the reliabilty edge over the R8's.

But that time span you're talking about only covers two years (for the Vipers) whereas the Corvettes have been at the cutting edge now for five years. Without major mishap. That's over 50% more race/track time than a front line Viper.
But that's off topic. |

Exactly Audi R8R. I wonder if the Vettes reliabilty record from 2000-2005 is better than that of Audis from 2000-2004. Would be intresting to see the results if anyone knows the answer to this...

Where does this leave Maserati now? Could they, just maybe, switch there focus to LMP1 rather than investing in an ACO legal GT1 car? |

JMB are likely be running 2 Maseratis and a Ferrari 575 in the 2005 FIA GT championship JAG. Also AF Corse are NOT a "Works" team in any way shape or form, not offically anyway. So they can continue to race with the cars if they so wish.

Does JMB solve the tire problems? They leave Pirelli at the end of the last season. I heard that the Mazza only runs on Pirellis

Accoording to racingworld.be there will be a new, third class in FIA GT, for cars like the Morgan, TVR, Lotus, Vertigo, Maserati (Trofeo Light) and the Mosler.
New news to me. Anyone more info on this subject? |

It's no rumor. There will be a so called G2 class in Fia GT next year to allow non fia homologated cars to enter races. It'll work the same as with the G2 class used during the 24hr of Spa.
Sure hope we'll see some different cars coming in through this class |

I love this news, there's a large chance that we'll see some Moslers already (Short was very excited), and I wouldn't be surpised to see some TVR's as well.

its already been confirmed that BMS will not get Maseartis, and they will move to the LMES with 2 550's.
Zwanns wont get Lambo's. they will most likely run saleen(s) care racing wont be in fia gt. since that was really the 3rd BMS car. |
