Its possible the nationalities could be related to where they live? McNish lives in Monaco for example. Krumm, I though lived in Japan etc etc. Bit mad though

Hmmmmmmm...... that's a weird one.
We noticed that the amount of people commenting on drop-out's reduced dramatically when the rain stopped yesterday. So far, no comments about buffering today, so I guess everybody must be happy. Can't believe the weather would have had anything to do with it (especially as when it rains we switch to ISDN transmission with satelite as back-up).....but as the saying goes- "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". |

Mine's not nearly as bad as yesterday but it's still not great. Does stop quite a lot. Never gone more than ten mins without it rebuffering.
Any decent updated live timing pages? Tired the link from page 8 of this thread but it's stuck on the first sessions when it was wet... |

tried Autosport - their site is NEVER simple is it! It's a bit like the ACO's mindsets hehe. My radio stuttering a lot but i don't get too many stops for buffering...
...y'know I just typed that then it stopped lol |

Did anyone else get a bit fed up with RLM this year. It seemed to cater more for the web and globblecast than the punters there.
Paul truswell was his usual great self but I thought John H was a little confused at times about the drivers and what cars they where in. Several times it was clearly visable on the TV screen somthing had happened but the RLM crew did not seem to pick it up, then when they did thought the TV crews had missed it as the TV had moved on to somthing else. As for that over blown yank, not to sure what part he played other than to name drop at any chance and make daft and pointless impressions of Pesca. I think it's time to get back to basics, they used to great and the information good, but now the detail is getting a bit lost in all the 'banter'. |

I have always relied on RLM to follow the race. Quite apart from the plethora of inaccuracies this year, if I couldn't see one of the giant screens, I didn't have a clue what was going on in the race. They commentated on the incidents, but failed to say with any accuracy what impact the incidents had on race position, either overall or within category. Since the Leonard tribune is too far from the pit exit screen to read the race updates, and the view of the screen at the beginning of the pit straight is obstructed, we will choose a knew tribune next year, based on it's proximity to a giant screen. |

This was my second Le Mans, but the first time I was at the circuit with RLM on the personal stereo... as a first time listener I thought it was pretty good! There's a balance to be struck between it being a relatively entertaining service to listen to for four days and being an absolutely bang up to date information service for latest race positions and incidents. On the whole I though it was fine - not knowing who was leading/losing/in/out/on fire/being punted off by Japanese nutters etc. etc. for an hour or so at a time didn't really bother me. I guess if you want to be absolutely on the ball for the entire race, there's no substitute for being able to watch the live tv feed and timing screens - must work on hospitality passes next year!
