You're right Matt, but I know a lot of people don't like to publicise their email addresses on fora for fear of the junk that can get generated

Hello.
I thought i'd just mention i've recently acquired a Renault 5 from the Super Coupe Cup. It won in 2000, with Steve Alderton driving. I've got some more pictures here if anyone is interested; http://www.rtoc.org/members/member.asp?memberid=10895 I'm going to be doing some auto-solo's next year and doing my National B race licence in it. Gordon. |

Nice to see Steve Alderton cropping up on here again - his old CRX is currently being made mint again! Couldn't bring myself to change the colour scheme though...

It was a real rocket ship and won most of the races although Linus beat him to overall victory at Mallory and I just beat him at Snetterton in the long race. He was recovering from a spin though! |

Well you'll be pleased to note it still looks the same (but has more power) and I still regularly get asked if it's Steve's old car!

That's why I've got so many photos Incidentially, wasn't Steve Alderton's R5 purple for a while? I seem to remember he had it resprayed black because people kept mistaking it for the Pearsonomobile |

Welcome Gordon,
Good luck with the R5, always a good car like the CRX. Let us know where you plan to race it once you have the Nat B. I've got loads of your Photo's Baz. (blue and white crx at the time, now red/silver) Mark |

Peter can only bring out a turbo in the CSCC Tin Tops if it's a diesel - we had a diesel Pug last season (novice getting signatures - drove to and from circuit etc). I thought he was getting out his 1.8 Metro...
All welcome! |

Hi, my cars a little hybrid. Started life as a R5 GTX fitted with a 16V head and webbers hence in invitation class. The car started life at Lydden and other sprint venues before I bought it from Ebay. CCSC Tintops welcomes most cars but no turbos unless oil burners under 2ltr. We have a varied selection from Mini Coopers to ex touring cars Honda Accords and a selection of Britcar spec cars. Clio cup cars are welcome but they are not allowed seq' boxes. The regs have changed this year to split classes to 8v 16v per engine size. It would be good to see some older cars come out and win classes to give the britcar boys a run for there money in the series. Nothing like a 10-20 year old car showing up some modern exotica, thats what grass roots racing is all about, keep it simple, clean and fun. |

Well worth getting your license and find a friendly series to have a play with as a novice you will get a warm welcome from most series, and the 5 should have some pace. Good luck Pete |

Needless to say the G40 is eligible for the LMA Euro Saloons if you can't find anyone else to play with
