This result for Keating will probably solidify a Ford GT on the WEC grid next season

I wonder if Toyota will switch numbers next season to 1-2?

Yeah, regardless of how you perceive the results of the two Toyotas, it was kind of annoying to have only 2 cars in contention, but they at least made it interesting.

Alonso said that it was a "rollercoaster" and "the luck was with us" and "unfortunately they were unlucky".

I think Ford and Keating sold a few today. Think you'll see some Multimatic crew with teams who want to run a GT at LM in the future. Sounds like Multimatic will need to keep crew in house for the Aston project and seemingly more likely DPi project, doubt they can stay away too long.

they won't do it when one of the class victories is a matter of seconds, I imagine. but now the risk is minimal, with the FL so close to the slow ford chicane. no one's going to floor it there.

I believe recently, when there was a close race, they left him in the stands.

Recorded the last hour of the #7. My intention was to record the winning car, now I'm just curious to watch what happened onboard with that car.

49 Finishers is a large number, is that a record?

I'm surprised you were still there. I can be a hot head and angry at posts here but I couldn't deal with even a second of the "discussion" there. It makes the S365 and Racer comments seem tame and civil

Congrats to AF Corse as well, they were anonymous all week, but come the race they were just where they wanted to be.

Same with the Autosport forums. This is why this forum is the best. A core of level headed seasoned fans who don’t jump to conclusions.

Hard luck for the #7 Toyota after dominating the race. But that's why Le Mans is Le Mans and why we run the races.
For the overall and class winners, podium finishers and even those who just finished, after 24 hours, anything could be classified as a victory. A little happy music for this year's Le Mans: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCPMSCtoils Also probably feels like a victory for AER since the SMP BR1 podiumed and didn't have any issue all race. First Japanese World Drivers' Champion in a major FIA-endorsed world championship. And also I believe the first Russian drivers on the overall podium if I'm not mistaken. |

If not for this win, the 488 would have been the first of the GT2/E era that never won the pro category. |
