The strategy is to have the car late with no testing??[/QUOTE]
So no BoP will be on place |

I think the word shakedown is being taken a bit too literally. It will most likely be shaken down a couple of days before the prologue or at the prologue. Spa will be a race for them not an official test, I think the wording is mixing up the plans.

Yes, I think there are a bit of crossed wires there. It's not deliberate in that "we wanted to be late", more a case of "we're late, but we won't rush, so Spa is a shakedown"

The Oreca rollout track record isn't too promising for them though
2014 R-One Debut - missed Ricard, missed Silverstone (Lola used instead), first appearance at Spa 2015 AER installation - missed Ricard, missed Silverstone, missed Spa, first appearance a brief shakedown at HTTT couple of days before LM Test Day So I think they'll miss Ricard at least The only positive thing about force majeure non-show and/or "treating everything as mere shakedown" would be to decrease the chance of any possible negative ACP BoP adjustment aimed towards nonhybrid armada prior LM, if the chassis are as fast as we are expecting to be |

According to the prologue entry list, one Rebellion R13 lmp1 will be there and it's listed to do the whole 30-hour endurance test! Will be interesting to see how it does.

Well, hopefully they get it there!
It'll be relatively empty track for the most part of that 30 hours I think so good time to get things shakedown'd |

I believe that they can use Oreca 07 tubs as a LMP1 is around 100kg lighter than a LMP2.

Nothing is a guarantee, Toyota has (frustratingly) displayed that throughout their history at Le Mans.

Lotterer Jani and Senna in the #1 car. That is one hell of a lineup! |

Strange, I thought we knew that already - I've had that line-up down on my list from the time the drivers were first announced.....

Meh I don't really care when rebranding like this gets done, it would have just as low effect as "Aston Martin" + "TAG Heuer" on Red Bull Renault
(I mean already Rebellion watch brand is rebranding the Oreca chassis but TVR's actual car company which is different, plus at least Rebellion is also the team name so it's not pure badge job as with Alpine etc) |

First Zenvo and now TVR?
I'm wondering if Rebellion is going for TVR branding on their engine, if it will have an effect on the deal they have with Zenvo for Engines next year? |

There have certainly been some interesting goings on in the background at Rebellion, since the announcement that they would be returning to LMP1. |
